Day 1

Your journey begins with an early pick-up and a scenic drive westwards to Fort Portal, lasting about 4–5 hours. A lunch stop will be made in Fort Portal before continuing to Kibale Forest. In the afternoon, you will explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary on a guided nature walk. This swamp walk offers great opportunities to encounter several monkey species, such as the black-and-white colobus, red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons, L’Hoest’s monkeys, blue monkeys, and the grey-cheeked mangabey. The area is also rich in bird species and butterflies. After the walk, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2
Chimpanzee Trekking & Return to Kampala/Entebbe
Chimpanzee Trekking & Return to Kampala/Entebbe
After breakfast, you will head to the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing at 8:00 am before setting off for chimpanzee trekking. The forest walk allows you to track these lively primates in their natural habitat while spotting other monkeys, birds, butterflies, and unique insects along the trails. After spending quality time with the chimpanzees, you will enjoy lunch and later embark on the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving in the evening.
