Day 1

Early morning: Get picked up from your accommodation in Moshi or Arusha. The drive to Marangu Gate takes about 1–3 hours depending on your starting point.
Morning: Complete park registration at the Marangu Gate and begin your guided hike through the dense rainforest.
Midday: Arrive at Mandara Hut for a rest and picnic lunch. You can then take a short walk to Maundi Crater for panoramic views of the mountain and surrounding areas.
Afternoon: Start the descent back down to the Marangu Gate, typically taking 2–3 hours.
Late afternoon/Evening: Meet your driver at the gate for the return trip to your hotel.
