Arusha to Ndutu Area

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, heading southwest towards the Ndutu area, located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you travel through the scenic highlands and descend into the plains, you'll notice the landscape gradually shift from lush greenery to open savannah. Upon arrival in Ndutu, you’ll embark on a game drive through the region’s rich ecosystem, known for hosting the Great Migration from December to March. Even outside of migration season, Ndutu teems with wildlife including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and resident antelope. You’ll explore the area around Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek, prime spots for wildlife sightings and dramatic photography, before retiring to your lodge or tented camp for the night.

Ndutu back to Arusha

After an early breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Ndutu, making the most of the soft light and active wildlife. This is the perfect time to spot predators on the hunt or catch a last glimpse of migratory herds grazing across the plains. As the day progresses, you’ll begin the journey back to Arusha, passing through varied landscapes and possibly stopping for a picnic lunch along the way. Expect to arrive in Arusha by late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your short but enriching safari experience.
