As the northern extension of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara is world-renowned for hosting the dramatic seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and the predators that follow in their wake. You’ll arrive in time for lunch, then venture out on an afternoon game drive to begin your safari experience.

Maasai Mara to Serengeti National Park

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara before exiting the reserve. After completing border formalities, continue onward to Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. Though it’s a long day of travel, the journey offers rewarding game drives both on the way out and into the new park. You will arrive at the prepared accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Start the day with an early morning game drive and sunrise over the Serengeti before breakfast. Arrive by late afternoon, with an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater early for a half-day tour, where abundant wildlife—including rare black rhinos—can be seen up close. Afterward, ascend and drive to Arusha, marking the end of your safari. From here, you may transfer to Kilimanjaro or Nairobi for your flight home, or extend your journey with a beach holiday in Zanzibar.
