Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park - Home of Giants

After breakfast, set off toward Tarangire Nationa Park, a journey of about 2.5 hours in the tramac road and beautiful views throught the big windows of the safari vehicle. The park is home to great herds of Elephants and giant baobab trees with a lot of history. Enjoy a game drive that balances adventure and comfort, with your modern safari vehicle stocked with blankets, refreshments, and binoculars. A picnic lunch keeps you energized before continuing your exploration. In the evening, drive to Karatu where you stay at a mid-range lodge surrounded by the cool highlands.

After breakfast, continue exploring the Serengeti plains before beginning the journey toward Ngorongoro. This day is designed to explore the Serengeti for the morning and afternoon and then head to Ngorongoro Highlands for just an overnight stay to make the journey to the Ngorongoro Crater the next day shorter. Along the way, you’ll enjoy sightings of wildlife until you reach the highlands, where cool breezes and panoramic views welcome you. Spend the night at a lodge near the crater rim or in Karatu, enjoying dinner and a comfortable evening in preparation for tomorrow’s highlight.

Descend into the caldera, home to over 25,000 animals, including the Big Five. With a bit of luck, you may spot the rare black rhino grazing among zebras and wildebeest. A picnic lunch at a hippo pool keeps you energized for the afternoon. Later, ascend the crater and return to Arusha, where your safari ends with memories of wildlife, landscapes, and soulful reflections that define an All Wheels Experience journey.
