Day 2

After breakfast, pack up camp and begin the scenic journey toward Serengeti National Park. On the way, enjoy breathtaking views as you pass through the Ngorongoro Highlands, with photo stops at viewpoints overlooking the crater. Upon entering the Serengeti, the vast plains open up, and wildlife becomes abundant—zebras, gazelles, elephants, and predators like lions and cheetahs roam freely. In the afternoon, enjoy your first Serengeti game drive before heading to Pimbi Public Campsite, located inside the park. Here, you’ll enjoy a warm dinner and spend the night surrounded by the magical atmosphere of Serengeti’s wilderness.

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, when predators are most active. Witness the golden light illuminate the endless plains as you search for lions, leopards, hyenas, and perhaps even a cheetah on the hunt. After breakfast, continue with a full-day exploration of Serengeti, home to Africa’s Big Five and the spectacular Great Migration (seasonal). Your guide will take you to prime locations to maximize wildlife sightings. Between game drives, enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot before returning to camp. In the evening, share stories by the fire and soak in the incredible Serengeti atmosphere.

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti, where the early light brings excellent chances to spot predators returning from a night hunt and herds of grazers beginning their day. Later, depart across the scenic highlands towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing Maasai villages and vast landscapes along the way. By late afternoon, arrive at the crater rim, where you will overnight at a campsite overlooking the world’s largest unbroken caldera, with stunning views and cool highland air.

Wake up early for the highlight of your safari: a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This unique natural wonder is home to an incredible density of wildlife. During your game drive, you’ll have the chance to spot elephants, lions, buffalo, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, flamingos, and if lucky the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor surrounded by wildlife before ascending back to the rim. In the afternoon, drive back to Arusha, where your unforgettable safari adventure concludes.
