Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Your adventure begins early in the morning as you depart from Arusha around 7:00 AM, heading northwest toward the legendary Serengeti National Park. The drive takes approximately 7–8 hours, including stops, and offers scenic views of the Great Rift Valley and lush highlands as you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy a picnic lunch at the Naabi Hill Gate—the main entrance to Ngorongoro—where you'll also complete park formalities and have a chance to stretch and take in the stunning surroundings. After lunch, continue your journey into the Serengeti, with game viewing beginning as soon as you enter the park's Naabi Hill Gate. As you drive toward Central Serengeti, keep your eyes open for many animals include big cats. The landscape transforms into endless golden plains dotted with acacia trees—classic Serengeti scenery. By late afternoon, arrive at Golden Safari Camps, your comfortable midrange tented camp nestled in the heart of Central Serengeti.

After an early breakfast at the camp, set out for a full-day adventure in the heart of the Serengeti. With your packed lunch in hand, you’ll begin a morning game drive across the vast savannahs of Central Serengeti—an area renowned for its rich concentration of wildlife. As the golden light of morning spreads over the plains, you may encounter prides of lions warming themselves in the sun, and others. Around midday, you’ll stop at a scenic picnic area within the park to enjoy your lunch surrounded by nature, offering a unique and peaceful dining experience. After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive as the wildlife becomes active again, especially near waterholes and riverbanks. As the sun begins to set, you’ll head back toward Golden Safari Camps, keeping your camera ready for incredible sunset shots over the Serengeti plains an unforgettable end to a perfect day in the wild. Relax back at camp, where you can share stories of the day's sightings over dinner under the stars.
