After an early breakfast at Villa Maua, your journey to Serengeti National Park begins. Travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing rolling highlands, Maasai villages, and grazing wildlife. After breakfast at Sightseen Serengeti Camp, you will enjoy a final morning game drive as you travel through the vast plains of Serengeti National Park toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This game drive en route offers another opportunity to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife as you say goodbye to the Serengeti.

With a picnic lunch along the way, the journey takes you through ever-changing landscapes, from open savannah to the cool, misty highlands of Ngorongoro. Keep an eye out for Maasai herders tending their cattle against one of Tanzania’s most scenic backdrops.

After breakfast at Ngorongoro Safari Lodge, you will descend 600 meters into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the rare black rhino. During your game drive, you may also encounter hippos, hyenas, jackals, zebras, wildebeest, flamingos, and a remarkable variety of birds. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch near the hippo pool while surrounded by spectacular crater views.
After ascending from the crater, continue to Mto wa Mbu for a complimentary cultural village tour. Walk through lively local markets, banana plantations, and artisan workshops while learning about the traditions of Tanzania’s many ethnic communities.
