Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel/residence: 7:00 am.

The journey to the Maasai Mara National Reserve via road begins. There will be a brief stopover at the scenic Great Rift Valley.

There will be a stopover at Narok town for refueling. The journey will resume, and you are expected to arrive in Masai Mara National Reserve in good time for an early lunch.

Later, you will proceed for an afternoon game drive until around 6:00 pm. This is the official time for the park to close its gates. You'll return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

NB: The tented camps are self-contained permanent structures with hot and cold tap running water- all under one roof.

Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive inside the park, with a picnic lunch en route.

More than 400 bird species, including raptors, have already been identified here. White-tipped crests, ross turacos, orange buffs, Pel's fishing owl, wary guinea fowl, long-crested eagles, pygmy falcons, and red-winged shallows turacos are among the birds that can be seen. The park also houses the Big Five wildlife, as well as other species of wild game that live in this natural habitat.

Lions are also frequently seen either basking after a large meal or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are more difficult to see, but they are fairly common. The ultimate action in this area is without a doubt the annual wildebeest exodus, characterised by millions of these grazers migrating north from the Serengeti in search of greener pastures.

The rest of the evening will be spent at the chosen accommodation on a full-board basis.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

Begin the day with an early morning breakfast.

You will then go for a Maasai Village tour. This unique cultural experience gives you an opportunity to see, firsthand, the lifestyle of the Maasai who welcome visitors to their homes.

You will then depart and drive to Nairobi, where the safari will end in the late afternoon between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
