Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive about 80 km (roughly 1.5 hrs) to the Ngorongoro Crater rim, then descend 600 m into the crater floor. This natural amphitheater shelters over 25,000 large animals including the Big Five. Spend the day exploring the lush grasslands, forests, and soda lakes before returning to your lodge around Karatu.

Begin your day with a guided cultural tour at Mto wa Mbu. Explore the bustling local market, banana plantations, and traditional farms.
