Day 1

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. You'll travel by private 4x4 safari vehicle through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania, passing through small towns and the Ngorongoro highlands. After a packed lunch and route, you enter Serengeti National Park via the Naabi Hill Gate.

The afternoon is spent on a thrilling game drive across the endless plains, where you'll likely encounter elephants, giraffes, gazelles, buffalo, and the iconic big cats—lions and cheetahs. As the sun sets, you'll head to your public or special campsite within the Serengeti.

Your private chef will prepare dinner, and you'll sleep under canvas, surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.

Serengeti to Ndutu Area – Migration Hotspot & Predator Action

Serengeti to Ndutu Area – Migration Hotspot & Predator Action

After breakfast, continue your game drive toward the southern Serengeti and into the Ndutu area, which lies within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ndutu is especially famous during the Great Migration season (December to March), when thousands of wildebeest and zebra gather here to give birth. This abundance of prey draws predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas, offering excellent chances to witness hunting scenes or newborn calves. You'll spend the full day exploring the short-grass plains and woodlands around Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek.

In the late afternoon, return to your camp for dinner and a peaceful night in the wilderness.

Day 3

Ndutu to Ngorongoro Crater

Ndutu to Ngorongoro Crater

Today you leave the open plains and head toward the Ngorongoro Crater. Along the way, enjoy game viewing as you pass through various habitats. Once at the crater rim, you’ll descend 600 meters into the world's largest intact volcanic caldera for a half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the best places in Africa to see all members of the Big Five—including the rare black rhino—in a single game drive. You’ll also spot hippos, warthogs, flamingos, and massive herds of herbivores. In the evening, ascend the crater and set up camp at Simba Campsite on the rim, where the air is crisp, the views are stunning, and wildlife like buffalo and zebra may wander near your tent.

Morning in Ngorongoro Crater & Return to Arusha

Wake up early to take advantage of the cool morning hours and wildlife activity. After a warm breakfast at camp, descend once more into the crater for a final game drive. You may spot predators on the hunt or elephants bathing in the marsh. After several hours exploring, enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic site such as Ngoitoktok Springs.

In the early afternoon, begin your drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable private camping safari.
