Day 1

From Addis Ababa to Gondar, we'll meet you at Gondar Airport or your hotel and then take a smooth drive along a well paved road to the park headquarters in Debark. The journey covers 100 km and will take approximately two hours. Once you arrive at the headquarters, we'll organize our park permits and meet our scout. After that, you'll drive for another hour before embarking on your first introductory hike. This initial trek is an easy one along the northern edge of the escarpment, offering beautiful views of the foothills and plains of northern Ethiopia. During the hike, you can expect to see Gelada baboons wild life. You will encounter gelada baboon along this hike and have wild life viewing. Your overnight stay will be at Sankaber.

Day 2
Sankaber – Gich
Sankaber – Gich
From Sankaber, begin hiking following the ridge and look out over the foothills 800m down. From the ridge, descend into the valley and view the Jinbar River plunging into the Geech Abyss and different wild lifelife, like as Walia ibex and others. After some time at the waterfall, continue to Geech village, where you will find your second campsite.

Day 3

After breakfast, start on a 7-8 hour hike of the best views in the Simien Mountains. En route, pass through Imet Gogo. Here, you will have reached an altitude of 3,926m and can view the fantastic landscape from 360 degrees. After Imet Gogo, hike to the viewpoint at Innateye Valley at an altitude of 4,070m. Lunch will be here, and then you will descend to Chennek (3,600m) for your third campsite.

Day 4
Chenek – Gondar

You'll embark on an ascent to Buwahit, the second highest peak in the Simien Mountains, standing at 4,430 meters. This trek offers not only stunning views of the surrounding landscape but also the opportunity to spot the Walia Ibex, a unique species native to this region of Ethiopia. Along the way, you'll also have a chance to see Ras Dejen, the highest peak in Ethiopia, which reaches 4,543 meters. After enjoying the breathtaking scenery, you’ll make your way back down to Chenek Camp, where our vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Gondar, a journey of approximately four hours.

Day 5
Drive Addis Ababa to Awash National Park

You'll depart from Addis Ababa around 7:00 AM. The drive takes approximately 4 hours, passing through the scenic Ethiopian countryside.
Midday: You'll arrive at Awash National Park and check into your lodge. You'll enjoy a hearty lunch featuring local and international cuisine.
Afternoon: You'll embark on your first game drive through the park's diverse ecosystems, including savannah, acacia woodlands, and riverine forests. You'll spot wildlife such as Beisa oryx, gazelles, baboons, and various bird species.
Evening: You'll return to the lodge for dinner. Optional: Participate in a night safari to observe nocturnal animals and the starry African sky. Your overnight stay will be at Genet Hotel.

Morning: You'll start with an early morning game drive, the best time to spot predators like lions and leopards, as well as a variety of bird species.
Midday: You'll visit the spectacular Awash Falls, where the Awash River plunges into a deep gorge. Enjoy the scenic beauty and take photos.
Afternoon: You'll go on a guided hike along the trails of the park. You'll explore the park’s rich biodiversity and enjoy bird watching, with over 450 bird species recorded in the park. Overnight stay will be at Genet Hotel.

Early morning you will drive to Bale Goba town for a coffee. You'll continue driving to Dinsho National Park for a short hike. The Mountain Nyala, Menelik's Bushbuck, and other endemic species are available. You will have a chance to see them. After the visit, you'll drive to Goba town for the night. Dinner will be served at the hotel. Overnight stay: Hotel.

Day 9
Drive to Lake Geber-Guracha
Drive to Lake Geber-Guracha
After breakfast, you'll drive to the starting point for the hike to Lake Geber-Guracha, which will take approximately 4 hours. During the hike, there’s a high chance of spotting the endemic Ethiopian wolf. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch with breathtaking views of the 3,900m-high lake, and visit local villages along the way. You'll continue driving to the Sanetti Plateau, with elevations ranging from 3,700m to 4,100m, making it the highest road in Africa. You'll hike around the second-highest peak in Ethiopia, Tullu Demtu (4,377m), before driving on to Harena Forest. On this day, you’ll see the second-highest mountain in Ethiopia, Tullu Demtu, along with endemic wildlife like the Ethiopian wolf and various bird species. Expect about 3 hours of driving today. After breakfast, you will embark on a beautiful 3-hour hike through Harena Forest. After the hike, you will return to the lodge for a lunch break. After breakfast, you will enjoy a short hike. Afterwards, you will drive to Bale Goba Airport (approximately a 3-hour drive). You will depart for Addis Ababa at 3:30, arriving at 4:25 pm. This marks the end of your adventure.
