Nairobi – Amboseli National Park (Afternoon Game Drive)

Depart Nairobi in the morning and enjoy a scenic drive through the Kenyan countryside towards Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch or early afternoon. After check-in at your lodge/camp, relax briefly before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is famously known as the “Land of Giants” for its large herds of elephants and the stunning backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Look out for lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and an incredible variety of birdlife. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Amboseli Game Drive

An early morning game drive offers the best chance to see wildlife at its most active and to enjoy clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Elephant herds move across the plains toward the swamps, while predators such as lions and hyenas are often seen after night hunts. The guide shares insights into animal behavior, tracking, and Amboseli’s unique ecosystem sustained by underground water from the mountain.

After breakfast and rest at Manjaro, the afternoon game drive explores the swamp areas, where elephants, buffalo, hippos, and rich birdlife gather. The focus is on wetland ecology, elephant conservation, and wildlife–Maasai coexistence, before returning to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.
