Arrival in Kigali – Transfer to Musanze (Volcanoes National Park)

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by your professional driver-guide. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a short Kigali city tour including the Kigali Genocide Memorial and local craft markets.
Scenic Transfer to Musanze:
After lunch, transfer by road to Musanze, the gateway town to Volcanoes National Park Enjoy breathtaking views of rolling hills and the Virunga Volcanoes.
Evening:
Check in to your lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner as you prepare for the next day’s golden monkey trek.

Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes NP – Transfer to Bwindi (Rushaga Sector, Uganda)

After an early breakfast, transfer to Volcanoes NP headquarters in Kinigi for a briefing. You will then enter the bamboo forests of the park to track the playful and endangered golden monkeys.
Trekking usually takes 2–4 hours, and once found, you spend 1 full hour observing them as they leap through the bamboo canopy and forage for food.
This activity offers wonderful photography opportunities and complements the gorilla experience.
Return from the trek, enjoy lunch, and proceed to the Cyanika border post where you will clear with immigration and cross into Uganda. Continue to Rushaga sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Arrive at your lodge in Rushaga, check in, relax, and enjoy dinner.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Cultural Visit

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Rushaga Park headquarters for briefing and allocation to a gorilla family. Accompanied by trained rangers, enter the dense forest for the gorilla trekking experience.
The trek may last 2–6 hours depending on the gorillas’ movement.
Once located, spend 1 hour with these gentle giants – observing their feeding, social interactions, and playful young ones.
This is one of the most moving and unforgettable wildlife encounters in the world.
• Afternoon:
Return to your lodge for lunch and some rest. Later in the afternoon, you may opt for a community cultural experience with the Batwa people or a guided nature walk around Bwindi’s rolling hills.

Return Journey to Kigali

After breakfast, bid farewell to Bwindi and begin your scenic drive back to Rwanda. Cross the border at Cyanika and continue to Kigali (5–6 hours).
