Flight from Dar es Salaam Airport to Arusha - Game drive in Tarangire National Park

At 6:00 am (pick-up time may vary depending on your hotel’s location in Dar es Salaam), our driver will take you to the airport for your 8:00 am flight from Dar to Arusha. Upon arrival at 9:15 am, our driver-guide will drive you to Tarangire National Park, about 1.5 hours from Arusha, sharing insights about the history and culture of Arusha and the Maasai people along the way.

Tarangire National Park is famous for its biodiversity, including large elephant herds, and its varied landscapes, from seasonal swamps to open savannah, with the Tarangire River winding through the park. You may witness a lion stalking its prey or spot leopards relaxing in the trees above. After your game drive, you will return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

In the afternoon, enjoy your packed lunch inside the park before continuing with the game drive until 4:00 pm. Afterwards, you will drive to your lodge, about one hour from Tarangire, for dinner and overnight relaxation.

Game drive at Ngorongoro Crater - Drive to Arusha Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar

After breakfast at 6:00 am, you will drive to Ngorongoro for an early game drive inside Ngorongoro Crater. The early drive offers the best views of the crater and the most active wildlife.

This park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring the largest uninterrupted caldera in the world, and is one of the Natural Wonders of Africa. It is home to about 30,000 large mammals, including buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos, as well as many bird species, such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. You can expect to see many animals in a short time.

The game drive will end in the afternoon, allowing for a convenient transfer back to Arusha Airport for your 5:30 pm flight departing to either Zanzibar or to Dar es Salaam (at the same price ). Upon arrival, your driver will take you back to your hotel.
