Dar Es Salaam to Tarangire National Park

Your day begins early with a 5:00 am pick-up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam (exact time may vary by location) for your 7:00 am air transfer to Arusha. Upon landing at 9:15 am, your driver-guide will meet you and begin the 1.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, sharing fascinating stories about Arusha, its history, culture, and the traditions of the Maasai people along the way.

Tarangire National Park is renowned for its incredible biodiversity, from vast elephant herds to stunning landscapes of seasonal swamps and golden savannahs. The Tarangire River is the park’s lifeline, attracting predators and prey alike you might even spot lions on the hunt or leopards lounging in the trees.

After an exciting day of game drives, return to your lodge to relax and enjoy a delicious dinner before settling in for the night.

Ngorongoro Crater and Fly to Dar Es Salaam

After breakfast at 6:00 am, set out for an early morning game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, taking in breathtaking views and observing the most active wildlife.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ngorongoro is the world’s largest intact caldera and a true natural wonder. Home to around 30,000 large mammals including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and cheetahs along with numerous bird species such as flamingos and eagles, you’ll encounter a remarkable variety of wildlife.

In the afternoon, conclude your game drive and transfer to Arusha Airport for your 4:30 pm air transfer back to Dar es Salaam, where a driver will take you to your hotel.
