Day 2

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport for your scenic-flight over the endless plains to Kogatende. From above, watch as the landscape shifts from towns and farms to untouched wilderness. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you with your private safari vehicle and take you on your first game drive. The northern Serengeti is renowned for dramatic landscapes of rolling hills, scattered acacia trees, and the mighty Mara River. In migration season (July–October), the river becomes the stage for one of the world’s most breathtaking wildlife events, the wildebeest crossing. Spend the day tracking herds, watching elephants grazing near the river, or spotting big cats stalking the plains. Arrive at your luxury tented camp for dinner and overnight under the African night sky.

Today is devoted entirely to exploring the northern Serengeti. With unlimited mileage, your guide will follow the rhythm of the wildlife, maximizing your chances of witnessing the river crossings – where thousands of wildebeest and zebras risk their lives against crocodiles and predators. Even outside the crossings, this region teems with wildlife: giraffes browsing acacias, lions on rocky kopjes, cheetahs scanning the plains, and hippos wallowing in the Mara River. You’ll pause for a picnic lunch in the wild, surrounded by sweeping vistas. As the day ends, enjoy sundowners by the campfire while sharing stories of the day’s extraordinary sightings. After breakfast, begin a game drive transfer towards the central Serengeti. This route takes you through diverse habitats, offering the chance to spot animals you may have missed before. The central Serengeti, also known as the Seronera Valley, is famous for its year-round abundance of wildlife. This is big-cat country – leopards drape themselves over acacia branches, cheetahs survey the plains, and lions dominate the savannah in large prides. Break for a picnic lunch en route, and continue your game drive before arriving at your luxury lodge or camp in the Seronera region. Relax with a spa treatment or unwind on your private deck as the sun sets.

After breakfast in the bush, spend the day exploring the rich wildlife corridors of Seronera. With unlimited mileage, your guide tailors the day to your interests – whether it’s waiting patiently at waterholes for elephants and buffalo, tracking prides of lions, or scanning the kopjes for leopards. You may also choose to add a hot air balloon safari (optional, pre-booked, extra cost) for an unforgettable aerial view of the Serengeti at sunrise, followed by a champagne bush breakfast. As evening falls, return to camp for a farewell dinner under the stars.

Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to Arusha or directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey. Your safari may end here, but the memories of roaring lions, thundering herds, and golden sunsets will remain forever.
