This is one of the best places in East Africa to spot the Big Five lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo all in one place. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and often called the 8th Wonder of the World, Ngorongoro offers a breathtaking mix of landscapes, from mountain forests and woodlands to open grasslands, lakes, and swamps.

Lake Manyara to Arusha

After an early breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation and transfer you to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of wildlife viewing. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch amid the sights and sounds of the African wilderness. Following an afternoon game drive, you’ll be transferred back to Arusha Airport, concluding your safari adventure.

Though relatively small, Lake Manyara National Park is packed with wildlife across its 330 square kilometers (127 square miles), much of which is covered by the lake during high water. It’s a paradise for bird watchers and offers excellent chances to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, baboons, and, if you’re lucky, the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.

You’ll also have the opportunity to stop at the hippo pool, stretch your legs, and safely observe these massive creatures in their natural habitat.
