Nairobi city to Masai Mara NR

Your safari adventure begins at 7:00 AM, when you get to board the shared 4x4 pop-up roof tour Jeep from Nairobi city (transfer from hotel or airport can also be organized). You will then depart for the world-famous Masai Mara, driving along the scenic Great Rift Valley. A brief stop will be made at the Rift Valley viewpoint, where you can take in breathtaking views and capture memorable photos. The journey continues through Narok, the largest Maasai town, as you proceed to the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will then embark on your first afternoon game drive. This short introduction to the Mara offers a chance to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and perhaps even a leopard as the sun begins to set. Later, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full-day game drive at Masai Mara National Reserve

Rise early for breakfast, then set out for a full-day game drive across the expansive plains of the Masai Mara. This day is dedicated to exploring one of Africa’s richest wildlife ecosystems. The Mara is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) as well as cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, and countless antelope species. Bird enthusiasts will also enjoy sightings of crowned cranes, ostriches, and over 450 other bird species.

You will drive to the Mara River, the heart of the great wildebeest migration, where thousands of wildebeests and zebras cross while crocodiles and hippos patrol the waters. You will enjoy a picnic lunch by the river or under a tree shade, taking in the sights of hippos basking and crocodiles lurking nearby or the rich plains of mara. In the late afternoon, continue with another game drive, capturing the stunning Savannah sunset that the Masai Mara is famous for. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

After an early breakfast, check out from your lodge and enjoy a relaxed drive back towards Nairobi city. On the way, you will stop at Narok town for lunch (for a minimal fee & at own cost) and get an opportunity to shop for local Maasai/Kenyan culture souvenirs. Arrival in Nairobi is expected in the late afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey.
