Arrive at Windhoek International Airport, collect your rental vehicle, and head to Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch, where you’ll spend two nights. The 3 hour journey from Windhoek to Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch takes you south on a tar road through Rehoboth and Kalkrand. The landscape transitions from rocky hills to expansive savannahs before turning onto a gravel road that winds through rolling red Kalahari dunes, eventually arriving at the ranch’s secluded desert setting. As you journey along, keep an eye out for wildlife like oryx, springbok, and ostrich before reaching your lodge. After check-in, immerse yourself in the tranquil desert ambiance. The evening promises a breathtaking sunset over the dunes, followed by a delightful dinner at the lodge under Namibia’s mesmerizing starry sky.

Breakfast is served at the lodge before you depart on a guided morning walk with the indigenous San people. Visit their demonstrational village and learn about ancient traditions, survival skills, and the wisdom passed down through generations. Discover how they gather water in ostrich eggs, set traps, use desert plants for medicine, and craft ostrich-shell jewelry, an engaging cultural experience that brings the past to life.
Return to the lodge, where an optional lunch can be booked.
In the afternoon, enjoy the excitement of the cheetah excursion as you get close to these powerful, graceful cats. Capture memorable photos and hear their stories from expert guides while visiting the cheetahs cared for in Bagatelle conservation enclosure. End the day with a sundowner on one of the highest dunes, taking in sweeping desert views, Namibian snacks, and the peaceful silence of the Kalahari.

Keep an eye out for wildlife, including oryx, springbok, and ostriches, before reaching your lodge. After check-in, soak in the peaceful desert ambiance and watch a stunning sunset. Conclude the day with dinner under Namibia’s brilliant star-filled sky.

Arrive at the Namib Naukluft Park entrance at sunrise to witness the desert bathed in golden light. Explore the haunting beauty of Sossusvlei, Deadvlei and, for the daring, climb the colossal Big Daddy dune for unmatched panoramic views. Along the way, your guide reveals fascinating insights into the desert’s unique wildlife and ancient landscapes, making this an unforgettable desert expedition.

Day 5-6
Swakopmund

After breakfast, head to Swakopmund, where you’ll spend the next two nights. Today’s captivating 5 hour drive takes you northwest through the awe-inspiring and ever-changing desert landscapes of the Namib Naukluft National Park. Take a quick stop at Solitaire, famous for its apple pie. You’ll encounter the impressive Gaub and Kuiseb canyons along the way. Finally, you’ll reach the coast at the port town of Walvis Bay. From there, continue north to Swakopmund, where you can relish the pleasant seaside location and the refreshing coastal air for the evening. This afternoon, take some time to explore the town and stroll along the waterfront on foot.
Breakfast is included during your stay. Swakopmund boasts a diverse range of restaurants where you can book lunch and dinner. For the adventurous, Swakopmund offers a variety of activities, including a 4x4 excursion to Sandwich Harbour, quad biking on the dunes, sandboarding, living desert tours, and tandem skydiving. These are optional.

After breakfast, depart for Twyfelfontein Country Lodge for a two-night stay. Enjoy a scenic 4-hour drive north and east into the captivating region of Damaraland. En route, you’ll pass Namibia’s highest peak, the Brandberg at 2,573 m, with plenty of opportunities to admire wildlife and the sweeping desert vistas. Damaraland’s vivid colours, table-topped mountains, striking rock formations, and unusual vegetation create a true sense of untouched wilderness. On route you can visit the town of Uis where you can stop for a quick lunch break. If time allows this afternoon, you can visit the famous Twyfelfontein rock engravings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, otherwise, you can enjoy a relaxed visit tomorrow.

As you approach the park, the landscape opens into vast grasslands and shimmering salt pans, hinting at the incredible game-viewing that awaits. Your lodge is conveniently located just minutes from the park entrance. Etosha, renowned as an ideal self-drive safari destination, also provides the opportunity to explore the park on your own during your two-night stay.

After breakfast make your way to Emanya Lodge where you will spend 2 nights, Your journey takes your through Etosha National Park, Traveling from Etosha’s southern gate (Andersson Gate) to its eastern gate (Von Lindequist Gate) takes you along one of the park’s most rewarding routes, following the edge of the great Etosha Pan. The 4 hour drive leads through open savanna, mopane woodlands, and productive waterholes where you’re likely to encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, and large herds of springbok and zebra. As you move east, the terrain becomes more open and the wildlife density increases, offering excellent game-viewing right up to the gate.
