Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, joining your fellow safari travelers for a scenic journey along the Great Rift Valley. Stop at viewpoints along the escarpment to admire sweeping vistas and the vast valley floor dotted with lakes and acacia trees. Continue through the rolling hills and into the open plains of the Mara, arriving at mara in time for lunch.
After a short rest, set off on your first game drive in the Masai Mara. The afternoon light bathes the savannah in golden hues, perfect for spotting elephants grazing, giraffes silhouetted against the sky, and prides of lions lazing in the grass. As the sun sets, return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, leave the Masai Mara and travel north toward Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive around the shimmering alkaline lake, famous for its rhino sanctuary and flocks of flamingos that paint the shores pink (seasonal). Keep your eyes peeled for Rothschild’s giraffes, tree-climbing lions, and an impressive variety of bird species. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Today you’ll enjoy a full day exploring Amboseli, renowned for its massive herds of elephants and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The morning light offers the best chance for photography as animals graze against Africa’s highest peak. Look for predators like lions and cheetahs, as well as giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest roaming the open plains.
