Day 1

Begin your day with an early pickup by our English-speaking guide and head to Materuni Village, nestled at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro and home to the Chagga people.

Enjoy scenic views and learn about local culture on the way. Upon arrival, register at the village office and, if the weather allows, catch a clear view of Kilimanjaro’s peak.

Take a guided hike to the 80-meter Materuni Waterfall, then return to the village for a traditional Chagga lunch and a taste of local banana beer.

Next, join a hands-on coffee tour—learn how beans are grown, roasted, and ground, all while enjoying Chagga songs and dances.

After a full cultural experience, your guide will return you to your hotel.
