Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your Kilimanjaro On Foot safari guide will collect you from your lodge after breakfast. This morning, you will drive to Tarangire National Park, a journey of approximately two and a half hours on good tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which winds through the landscape. Known as the 'river of warthogs,' it serves as the region’s only water source for wildlife during the dry season.
Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen congregating along the riverbanks. You may also encounter giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, while a variety of predators—including lions and leopards—closely follow these animals. Bird enthusiasts will delight in the park, as more bird species breed here than anywhere else on the planet. The park’s iconic ancient baobab trees are a highlight, some of which are said to be over a thousand years old.
Lunch will be enjoyed at a picnic site inside the park. After your game drive, you will continue to your Lodge in Karatu.

The Serengeti National Park is truly breathtaking! Renowned for its vast open grasslands, it offers exceptional wildlife viewing. While home to abundant wildlife year-round, the Serengeti is perhaps best known for its incredible annual migration.
