Day 1

Arrival in Nairobi & Transfer to Masai Mara

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our tour driver-guide from Bencia Africa Adventure & Safaris. Depart Nairobi and begin your safari journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve via the Great Rift Valley, stopping along the way to enjoy panoramic views of the escarpment. Descend the escarpment and drive through the scenic Hemingway Trails to Narok town. Continue your journey to the Masai Mara and check in at AA Mara Lodge or a similar camp, where you will enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive through the park, witnessing the spectacular migration of wildebeest and zebra (seasonal). Keep an eye out for the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—along with cheetahs, giraffes, and other wildlife. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

After an early breakfast at 07:30, embark on a full-day game drive across the expansive, tree-studded grasslands and rolling hills of the Masai Mara National Reserve. The Mara is renowned for its vast herds of plains game, black-maned lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as numerous elephants and nearly every other species of wildlife found in Kenya.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Mara River, which marks the border between Kenya and Tanzania and serves as the dramatic backdrop for the annual wildebeest migration. After lunch, continue your game drive, exploring different sections of the park to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities.

In the late afternoon, you may choose to participate in an optional visit to a Maasai village or enjoy a guided nature walk with Maasai guides to learn about local culture and ecology. Return to AA Mara Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast at 06h30, we leave Mara for Nakuru with lunch en-route. We arrive in Nakuru in time check-in at Lake Nakuru Hotel. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park to see one of the largest ornithological spots. The Great Rift Valley has formed millions of years ago. Stretching some 6,500 kilometres from Jordan / Northern Africa to Mozambique / South Africa. It’s the largest rift on earth.

In Kenya, the rift gave rise to many lakes that have become a habitat for diverse wildlife. One such lake is Lake Nakuru, an alkaline lake. Lake Nakuru famously attracts vast numbers of seasonal, fabulously-colored pink flamingos to its shallow waters. Hippos, white and black rhinos, giraffes, tree-climbing lions, leopards, various other animals, and a profusion of birds are also present at the lake. Dinner and overnight at Lake Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Lake Nakuru to Nairobi

After an early breakfast, proceed for an en-route game drive in the park to see lion, buffalo, hyena, waterbuck, and antelope. Depart for Nairobi after lunch and have a brief stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. Arrive in Nairobi at your hotel/residence between 16h30 and 17h00 with lots of treasured photos and good memories to take home.
