Wake up in the heart of the Klein Karoo and enjoy a hearty South African breakfast before setting off to discover the best of Oudtshoorn, known for its unique blend of adventure, wildlife, and heritage.

Begin the day with a guided tour of the world-famous Cango Caves, a network of magnificent limestone chambers filled with stalactites and stalagmites one of South Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders.
Continue to the Cango Wildlife Ranch, a conservation centre home to cheetahs, lemurs, and crocodiles. Guests can stroll through walkways and elevated platforms to view the animals up close or enjoy a light lunch at the ranch café.
In the afternoon, leave the semi-arid landscapes of the Karoo behind as you drive over the lush Outeniqua Mountains toward the Garden Route coast. Descend through misty forests and scenic passes, arriving in Knysna, a charming lagoon-side town surrounded by indigenous forest and golden beaches.

After breakfast, embark on one of Knysna’s most iconic and memorable experiences a half-day excursion to the Featherbed Nature Reserve, a private eco-reserve located on the Western Head of the Knysna Lagoon.

Your journey begins with a scenic ferry ride across the tranquil lagoon, offering stunning views of the town, surrounding forests, and the dramatic sandstone cliffs that guard the lagoon’s entrance. Upon arrival at Featherbed, guests board a 4x4 trailer pulled by a tractor that winds its way up to a breathtaking viewpoint overlooking the Indian Ocean and Knysna estuary

After the walk, a delicious lunch is served at the open-air Featherbed restaurant a highlight of the day. (Lunch is usually included in the Featherbed Classic Tour package.)

Return to Knysna mid-afternoon, with time to relax or explore the vibrant Knysna Waterfront.

In the early evening, board a comfortable catamaran or lagoon cruiser for a sunset cruise on the Knysna Lagoon.

Day 4

Knysna – Plettenberg Bay – Tsitsikamma National Park

After breakfast, depart Knysna for a short scenic drive along the coastal N2 to Plettenberg Bay, a jewel of the Garden Route known for its golden beaches, indigenous forest, and wildlife sanctuaries.
Your first stop is the Knysna Elephant Park, enjoy a memorable educational and interactive experience with rescued African elephants.
Next, visit Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary, the world’s first free-roaming multi-species primate sanctuary.
Continue to Birds of Eden, the largest free-flight aviary on Earth an optional but highly recommended stop for bird lovers.
Travel east toward the lush forests and rugged coastline of the Tsitsikamma National Park, a section of the Garden Route National Park. Explore the Storms River Mouth, where the Indian Ocean’s powerful waves crash dramatically against ancient cliffs. Take a short walk to the famous suspension bridge, offering spectacular views of the gorge below.

By late afternoon, check in at Tsitsikamma Village Inn.

After breakfast, travel east along the N2 to Addo Elephant National Park, the third-largest national park in South Africa and home to over 600 elephants, along with lions, buffalo, and other wildlife.

Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive in an open safari vehicle with a professional safari guide.

Spend the night in or near the park at a comfortable midrange lodge surrounded by nature.
