Arusha – Drive to Ndutu (Southern Serengeti Plains)

After breakfast, depart for Ndutu Conservation Area, part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. The drive takes you through the Maasai steppe, the Ngorongoro highlands, and into the open plains dotted with acacia trees.
This area comes alive between January and March when over a million wildebeests gather for the calving season. You’ll witness newborn calves taking their first steps, large herds spread across the plains, and predators like lions and cheetahs waiting nearby. This is the perfect opportunity for wildlife photography and experiencing one of nature’s greatest spectacles.

Full Game Drive in Ndutu

Today is dedicated to exploring the Ndutu plains. With your guide, you’ll enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, maximizing your chances of spotting predator-prey interactions. The wildebeest calving season attracts thousands of zebras, gazelles, and elands, providing an abundance of prey for big cats.
Expect to see:
• Wildebeest herds with calves
• Lions and cheetahs hunting
• Hyenas scavenging in the plains
• Resident giraffes, elephants, and abundant birdlife.

Ndutu – Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Arusha

After an early breakfast, drive towards Ngorongoro Crater, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. Descend 600 meters to the crater floor for a thrilling half-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is famous for its high density of wildlife and is one of the few places in Africa where you can spot all the Big Five in a single day.
Highlights of the crater tour include:
• Black rhinos grazing in open grasslands
• Large elephant bulls with impressive tusks
• Lions, buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests
• Flamingos at Lake Magadi
After lunch at a picnic site inside the crater, you will ascend and drive back to Arusha and proceed to Kilimanjaro International Airport, where the safari ends.
