We saw the famed Big Six of Africa, but also, a family of ducks, a hippo alone in a water hole, a leopard trotting across grassland, the famed Mara River with its crocs and hippos and the landscape takes your breath away. We didn't expect to be fascinated by the variety of birds, by they proved to be an unexpected highlight

Really excellent. It spoiled us when we got to the two other reserves. Exactly how one imagines Kenya.

Masai Mara is a superb safari destination. It's large expanses are home to plenty of wildlife. Driving through it is definitely back-country, with mostly off road trails. There are very few improved "roads" in the reserve, so it has a bush vibe. You can feel that you're in the wilderness, and not just a mile off the nearest highway. Most of the transportation time within the park is spent 4-wheel driving through the many trails which generally allow close-up viewing of the animals.

Masai Mara was by far the best park to visit on our trip. The park is rather flat, making it easy to leave paths at times; to see some special animals. Lots of lions, elephants, zebras, antilope etc. A great park where one can truly see so much. Definitely recommend this park to anyone going for the first time, but even if you're an avid safari-goer, this park is a beautiful landscape.

The Mara is like a 'theme park' of wildlife. It was teaming with animals and we managed to see just about everything there was (other than a very shy rhino one evening). Our driver, Antony, was a font of knowledge and so accommodating - we had to cancel our first drive due to tiredness from a bad flight to Kenya. He was so patient with us. He picked us up in Nairobi and dropped us back, as well as all the game drives. It was great to do that, as there is so much to see and learn along the way. It's about a 6hr journey though, so be prepared... next time, we will fly, but I'd recommend the car trip at leas once. During the safari we came across lions feeding on a warthog, every possible animal and bird we could wish for (CLOSE UP) and a cheetah having a gazelle stolen from it by two hyena. Real life, real nature, right under our noses. We saw cheetahs, a leopard, giraffe, elephant, zebra and wildebeest (thousands) and, and and... the list goes on. The Entim Mara
Read more camp we stayed in was brilliantly located, in sight of the Mara river and bathing Hippos. It was definitely 5* luxury and worth every penny. Highly recommended. The food, drinks and service were very good. An amazing, unforgettable experience.
