Nosy Mangabe’s climate is wet and humid. The best weather conditions are from September to November and this is overall the best time for hiking. July to the end of September is a special time as this is when come to the bay to breed. Reptiles are most active and colorful from September to February and lemurs have babies around October.

Reptiles and some small mammals are more active
Orchids bloom from January to March
September to January is best for bird watching
It rains more and the humidity is higher
Choppy seas might make boat crossings impossible
Forest paths can become difficult to navigate
There is a risk of cyclones during February and March
