Isalo National Park is very accessible and can be visited throughout the year. The park is mainly a hiking destination and seeing any wildlife is a bonus. Therefore, the best time to visit is during the cooler dry weather months from May to October. At this time, it never rains and the sky is mostly blue.

May to October Dry Season – Winter

  • Not a lot of rain, the humidity is low and it is slightly cooler
  • Lemurs can be found throughout the year
  • All days are sunny
  • Reptiles and amphibians are less active from June to September
  • The park is busy in July and August
