Four Days That Felt Like a Lifetime in the Wild with Oldbeast Vacations
We chose a 4-day private luxury safari with Oldbeast Vacations because we had limited time, but somehow those four days felt full in a way we didn’t expect. From the start, Mwanne made everything easy. He explained things clearly, answered every small question, and gave us the feeling that we were genuinely cared for, not just booked into a program.
Our guide, James, was incredible in a quiet, confident way. On our first drive we saw elephants moving slowly between baobab trees, calves tucked safely between the adults. Later that same day, we came across giraffes feeding calmly while zebras and wildebeest shared the plains around them. Nothing felt forced. James would stop the car, turn off the engine, and just let the moment happen.
Each day brought something different. One morning we watched a group of lions finishing their meal, bellies full, completely relaxed. Another time, a leopard appeared out of nowhere, walking gracefully through the grass before disappearing into the trees. We saw buffalo in huge numbers, hippos packed tightly in the water, warthogs running with their tails straight up, and playful baboons climbing over rocks near the road.
The luxury lodges were the perfect balance after long game drives. Hot showers, comfortable beds, good food, and quiet evenings listening to nature outside. Sitting on the terrace at sunset, watching the sky change colors, felt just as special as the wildlife sightings.
What made this safari stand out was how natural everything felt. No rushing, no pressure, no checklist. Just great planning by Mwanne, a knowledgeable and patient guide in James, a comfortable vehicle, and days filled with unforgettable wildlife moments.
It was short, but it stayed with us. Oldbeast Vacations gave us a safari that felt real, personal, and deeply memorable.
A Private Safari That Touched Our Hearts
Our 9-day private luxury safari with Oldbeast Vacations, Mwanne the trip specialists expert and guided by John, was truly unforgettable. Every day felt like a gift, full of surprises and quiet moments that touched our hearts.
We began in Tarangire, where elephants slowly crossed the rivers after an early morning rain, and giraffes grazed gracefully nearby. In the Serengeti, we saw lions resting on kopjes, a leopard climbing a tree with her cub, and cheetahs chasing across the golden grass. John had a natural sense of timing, pausing just long enough for us to fully absorb each magical sighting.
One morning, we joined the Hadzabe tribe, learning their tracking skills and sharing stories around the fire. Watching their connection to the land, and even trying some of their techniques ourselves, made us feel part of something much bigger than ourselves.
Even rainy days felt special. We sipped tea in the vehicle while wildebeest crossed rivers in perfect rhythm, and watched sunsets from our luxury tented camp, the sky turning gold and red over the plains. The combination of wildlife, people, and quiet reflection made every moment deeply personal.
This safari wasn’t just about seeing animals, it was about connecting with nature, culture, and each other. It was an experience we’ll carry in our hearts forever.

From Serengeti Skies to Maasai Stories, An Unforgettable Safari
Our 5-day flying safari with Oldbeast Vacations turned into something far deeper than we expected. It wasn’t just a trip, it felt like a journey that slowly unfolded and stayed with us.
From the moment we boarded the small plane and watched Tanzania open up beneath us, everything felt different. Mwanne handled the organization so smoothly that we never felt stressed or uncertain. Landing straight into the Serengeti was unforgettable. One minute you’re above the clouds, the next you’re surrounded by endless plains and wildlife moving freely. It felt like stepping into another world.
This was a private safari, and that made the experience intimate and unhurried. Our guide, Tembo, was exceptional. Calm, thoughtful, and deeply connected to the land, he guided us with a quiet confidence that made us feel safe and relaxed. He never rushed us, never forced moments. Some of the most powerful experiences came from silence, just sitting and watching life unfold in front of us.
The Serengeti gave us time. Time to watch big groups of animals moving together, time to wait near rivers, time to simply observe. Then came Ngorongoro Crater, which felt completely unreal. Descending early in the morning, surrounded by mist and light, and then seeing so much wildlife concentrated in one place was overwhelming in the best possible way. It felt like nature was putting on a quiet but powerful show.
Tarangire brought yet another feeling. The ancient baobab trees, the large elephant herds, and the slower rhythm of the park made us feel grounded. Every place had its own personality, and Tembo helped us understand and feel each one.
One of the most touching moments was visiting the Maasai. Sitting with them, listening to their stories, learning about their traditions and way of life, it felt genuine and respectful, not rushed or staged. It added a human connection to everything we had seen in nature.
We also visited a tanzanite shop, which was a beautiful way to understand more about Tanzania beyond wildlife. Learning how the stone is found and polished, and the meaning it holds, made it feel special rather than just shopping.
The accommodations throughout the trip were comfortable, peaceful, and well chosen. Evenings were calm, filled with good food, soft light, and quiet conversations about the day. Falling asleep to the sounds of nature and waking up to fresh air felt deeply grounding.
This safari wasn’t about ticking boxes. It was about feeling present. Oldbeast Vacations, Mwanne, and Tembo created something thoughtful and personal. We didn’t just visit places like the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, or Tarangire. We felt connected to them.
It’s an experience we will carry with us for a long time, and one we’re truly grateful for.

Ten Days of Nature, Silence, and Wonder
When we booked this 10-day safari with Oldbeast Vacations, we were excited, but we didn’t expect it to affect us the way it did.
From the first day, everything felt easy. The trip was well organized with great support from Mwanne, who made sure all the details were handled smoothly before and during the safari. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine smiles, not the kind you get because it’s a job, but the kind that makes you feel you’re in good hands. We never had to worry about timing, logistics, or what came next. Everything just flowed naturally.
What stayed with us most was the time in the Serengeti. Having more days there changed everything. Instead of rushing, we learned to slow down. Some mornings we barely spoke, just watching big groups of animals move quietly across the plains. Other times we waited patiently near rivers and lakes, and suddenly something magical would happen. Seeing a leopard like that, calmly and naturally, is a moment I still replay in my head.
Each park felt different. Tarangire felt strong and wild, full of elephants and ancient trees. Lake Manyara was calm and green, with reflections on the water that made you want to stop the car and just look. And then there was Ngorongoro Crater. Going down into it early in the morning felt unreal. There was so much life everywhere that it almost felt overwhelming, in the best possible way.
At the heart of the safari was our guide, Hendry. His calm presence, deep knowledge, and genuine love for wildlife made every day special. He knew when to explain, when to wait, and when to let the moment speak for itself. With him, every game drive felt relaxed, respectful, and full of meaning.
At the end of each day, we returned to beautiful lodges and camps. Sitting there in the evening, tired but happy, looking out at the views, sharing stories about what we’d seen that day, those quiet moments were just as special as the game drives. The service was kind, attentive, and never forced.
What really made the difference was the Oldbeast Vacations team as a whole. They truly care. You feel it in the way they guide you, the way they listen, and the way they want you to experience the place, not just see it. We never felt like tourists being moved around. We felt looked after, respected, and welcomed.
We came back with thousands of photos, yes, but more importantly with memories that are hard to explain unless you’ve been there. This safari reminded us how powerful nature is, and how meaningful travel can be when it’s done with heart.
It’s a journey we will always be grateful for, and one we will talk about for a long, long time.
From Wildlife to Warm Smiles, A Perfect Safari Story
From the first day until the very last moment, our safari with Oldbeast Vacations was nothing short of magical.
This was not just a trip, it was a once in a lifetime journey that touched our hearts deeply. Thanks to Oldbeast Vacations and our incredible guide Hendry, we experienced the true soul of Africa. Hendry is more than a guide; he is passionate, professional, kind, and deeply connected to the land, the animals, and the culture. He didn’t only guide us through the wilderness, he also taught us Swahili, patiently sharing words and meanings, making us feel closer to the people and the country. Those small moments of learning and laughing together made the experience even more special.
With Hendry’s sharp eyes and deep knowledge, we were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five. Every sighting felt natural and respectful, perfectly timed and beautifully positioned. He always placed the brand new vehicle in the best spots, giving everyone excellent seating and unforgettable views, close enough to feel the emotion of the moment.
Our camping safari was pure magic. Falling asleep to the sounds of the wild, waking up with the sunrise, and sharing stories by the camp created memories we will never forget. The camping equipment was excellent, clean, and well prepared, and the food was delicious, warm, and made with care, far beyond what we expected in the bush.
What truly made this journey unforgettable was the human connection. The team was friendly, welcoming, and genuine, making us feel like family from the very first day. Everything was done with heart, passion, and respect.
Oldbeast Vacations may be a young company, but their professionalism, love for what they do, and attention to people truly stand out. If you are looking for a safari that is authentic, emotional, and unforgettable, this is the one.
Asante sana, Oldbeast Vacations. Asante sana, Hendry. You gave us memories for a lifetime.
