4 days 4 Countries
5/5

Our 4-day, 4-country safari with Cuckoo Safaris was an unforgettable experience! Everything was perfectly organized, and we loved exploring Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, and Namibia in such a short time. The guides were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, making every activity enjoyable. We highly recommend Cuckoo Safaris for anyone looking for a seamless and memorable African adventure!

Excellent experience, particularly on the (perhaps underrated) Zambia side
5/5

My mom and I did a full day tour of both sides of the falls and then a city tour of Livingstone, Zambia and I’d recommend this. For the Zimbabwe side of the falls guide Thube was great and very generous with his photography skills, and then guide Delphister for the Zambia side was fantastic - informative about the falls and also generous about taking photos, and then Delphister really shone in Livingstone where she took us through the museum and then about an hour long walking tour in town. She shared lots of local knowledge and was the epitome of patient with the stops in town. Absolute recommend the Zambia elements of this tour in particular and I think it’s so worth seeing both side of the falls. The Livingstone museum was so great too. Overall good value for money in the moderately expensive Vic Falls area and a reliable tour. Help for our first time at the Zam/Zim border was nice to have. Have fun!

The great adventure
5/5

As we embarked on our five day tour visiting four counties (Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia), the anticipation was high. Our group consisted of seven persons and everyone was blown away! We started at Victoria Falls, led by two knowledgeable tour guides. One on the Zimbabwe side and other guide on the Zambia side. The waterfall was absolutely breathtaking! We strongly recommend you to bring a change of clothes because the mist is actually a rain shower on the Zambia side...LOL. Our journey took us to Botswana, where we had a morning boat ride safari excursion that was a different view from the traditional jeep ride. There were many times that we believed our tour guide was too close to the hippo and crocodile but we lived on the edge and the photos that we captured were truly amazing pieces of art work! The next day in Botswana, we went to the game drive to see the lions. That excursion started at 6AM and as we watched the sun rise. WE were able to locate lions. Words cannot describe the feeling that we all experienced during that excursion. We were off to Namibia, where we went to visit the Impilia Island and took a tour of the village led by a native. We were meet by the Impalilan dancers and a bobo tree that was over thousand years old. It was an amazing journey that we will cherish and highly recommend to anyone who loves adventure and nature.

Best way to experience Chobe National Park in just one day
5/5

My dad and I had a phenomenal experience on a day trip to Chobe National Park from Victoria Falls with Cuckoo Safaris and the Botswana-based sister company Puku Safaris.

I have done a multi-day safari in Chobe on a previous trip, and I was worried that it would not be possible to experience the same magnificent wildlife, scenery, and intimacy on a day trip where time is a limiting factor. In fact, everything was just as good, and I actually think we managed to see almost as much of the park as I saw over four days before. I share this in the hopes that other travel planners who worry about having the *perfect* experience will feel encouraged to make time for the Chobe day trip if staying in Chobe is not an option - of course, I also have to recommend staying at one of the safari lodges in Chobe :)

The morning began with a relaxed drive from Vic Falls to the Kazungula Border, where everything went smoothly and we met our safari guide, Vusi. We got lucky and happened to end up with a private tour for the day, but the experience would also be fine with other people!

The morning boat tour was fantastic thanks to our boat guide, July. I was skeptical about doing the boat in the morning, but I am so glad we did because there were hardly any other boats out on the river. The timing was perfect so that animals were just beginning to come down to the river to escape the growing heat.

Lunch at the fancy Cresta Mowana Hotel was excellent - buffet style and included in the booking price.

Vusi truly made the trip with his passion and care on the afternoon game drive. We saw many of the major species within the first hour and spent the rest of the time searching for a pride of lions, which we finally found!

We finished the game drive around 17:00 and were back for dinner in Vic Falls by 18:30. Thank you Vusi and July for the smooth and memorable experience! I hope to come back for one of your camping safaris to Savute and the salt pans!
