The experience was great! The food and accommodation were excellent and unique. The drives in Maasai Mara were splendid and our guide was very considerate of our wants and needs. The only drawback I felt was the off-road driving. It seems to be clear that such activity is strictly forbidden in the park, but most of the drivers seemed to disregard the rule in favour of “enhancing” the experience by seeing more mammals. This is far from being bound to only our guide and company, but rather a negative culture that has developed among the safari community.

Very fun seeing the animals and very nice guide. Very sad to see so many of the safari cars drive off road, horrible. Informative and great trip!

We had a GREAT experience with Axis. We are a family of six (kids age 8,9,11,18) and went with another family of six. We chose their most basic package and it was no frills, but was great for our needs!

Communication was great prior to booking and arriving. We were nervous to spend so much money when we’ve heard of people getting scammed. Axis only required $100 deposit and then we paid the rest when we arrived in Kenya. This gave us a lot of peace of mind.

We were pick up was prompt and the travel was good. We were picked up in the safari vehicles.

Our lodging was basic, but comfortable. We chose the “glamping experience.” The tents were clean and had what we needed. They ran the generator from
5:30am to 7 and then from 7pm to 10pm. It was the perfect time for getting ready and going to bed, and gave us time to charge our devices.

The hospitality at our camp was awesome! The food was basic (rice, noodles, lentils, etc) but was filling and deliciously seasoned.

The drivers were great, friendly with the kids, and quick to share extra information about the animals and habitat. They went all out to get us good views of the animals!

The value of our safari made it possible for our large family on a budget!

Overall would 100% recommend this company!

Loved everything about this trip. Right from Maurine who gave us a very good deal and helped us with all details of the safari. They have options for budget travellers as well as for people looking for comfortable luxury trip. We chose 4 day safari of Masai +Nakuru. Our guide Mohammed was very helpful and we were able to spot the Big 5 in this trip. He was giving us details about the animals all along the trip. It was a wonderful experience. We as vegetarians never faced any issue with food. Thank you Axis Africa for giving us one of the best experiences of our lives. I would really recommend them!!!
