Going green safari was Founded in 2013, was created when a few small but extremely highly regarded owner- Lenard Mosha, from Marangu - Moshi Kilimanjaro region. Although the office is located in Dar –es –salaam South of Tanzania. At the moment going green safari has total of 10 staffs, including of 5 professional guides who are also professional drivers. Over the years we have carefully cultivated a successful blend of professional business and unique bush expertise that delivers world-class safari experiences.

Great and well organized Safari

The organisation and communication before hand with Lenny was great. We got picked up at the airport upon arrival and have been on the road with our driver and personal cook (Bakari and Hamadi) for the next 6 days. The long driving distances were something to get used to but our driver always drove carefully and we felt very safe. We managed to see all the wildlife we wanted not just because of luck, but also because our driver was very experienced. What we really appreciated was that he respected the wildlife and was not aggressively pushing into their private space (like a lot of other cars did). Although with good positioning and patience eventually we always got a great closeup view of the wildlife. During the whole time we have been treated to very good and varied cooking from Hamadi.

Everything from pick up to drop off went as promised. Even better they were very helpful and listened to our different requests. The accommodation was picked carefully. The safari driver was very professional and also knowledgeable.

Three amazing days! We stayed at the incredible Bastian Mikumi camp – fantastic service and beautiful surroundings.

Our guide was great; we hiked 10km to the Udzungwa waterfalls with breathtaking views!

Then we spent the morning at Mikumi National Park, which was fantastic – we saw elephants, giraffes, hippos, lions… Everything was incredibly well organized; I highly recommend it.

The driving safari was brilliant and the guide and cook “Bruno” were both excellent.
The guide “Manjori” was excellent at spotting wildlife too, he went the extra mile taking me a long way to see the lions.
Which I really appreciated!
The thing that stood out for me was the open top roof on the 4x4.
You could stand up and move around seeing wildlife and the surrounding area from a brilliant perspective.
All the other tours were seated 4x4s.

Lenny crafted for us an excellent programme at very short notice, meeting all our expectations while taking fully into account our budget needs. The communication with him was very easy and swift, he totally understood our independent travelers’ profile, and provided a great, reliable and high quality service. The safari in Mikumi was OUTSTANDING! Ladislas, our guide in the park, was just amazing, very knowledgeable, always going the extra mile, very careful and caring both for us and the animals (other tour operators are not respectful at all of the animals and also put tourists in danger). The Masai village tour was also very genuine. Camp Bastian also great accommodation. Try the SGR train from Dar - we loved it! Lenny can support you also for other legs of your travels in Tanzania if needed. For the next safari, we will definitely chose Going Green Safari again. Thank you!!!
