Choose Meru Slopes for an unforgettable, amazing experience!
We had the best time going with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris. We visited Arusha NP, Lake Natron, Northern Serengeti (Wildebeest River Crossing), Central Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater on a private, 8-day mid-range tour (End of Sept./beginning of Oct. 2026).
From the very first request to the very end of the tour, the communication with the team, especially Almachius, was very professional, helpful and kind.
We were picked up at the airport on time and had a briefing about the upcoming trip.
From the first moment on, we felt very comfortable and welcome.
Our guide was Gideon. He is so kind and very knowledgable about the country, animals, and he made a real effort to show us all of them. He made every wish come true, even when we were annoying about moving a few meters for a better photo. đ
The car was always super clean and heâs a very safe driver. We felt very safe and welcome all the time.
The lodges that were picked exceeded our expectations. The hospitality of everyone involved knows no bounds.
We recommend Meru Slopes to everyone and want to thank you - especially Almachius and Gideon - for a great experience.

Tarangire and Ngorongoro 2026
Each safari was completely different in terms of animals and scenery. Tarangire had beautiful baobabs and a large number of elephants, giraffes, and antelopes. Personally, I liked the Ngorongoro Crater more; our driver Jackson, who is a Maasai himself, set out with us early in the morning, so we were among the first in the crater, and it was worth it. We had rhinos about 2 meters from the car for around half an hour, lions walked right in front of our car, huge herds of zebras, buffaloes, and antelopes, and the lake had dozens of hippos and flamingosâsimply stunning. Driver Jackson was very friendly and told us a lot about the Maasai way of life and the animals we were seeing. Huge thanks. Robert and Annie (mama simba).

Petric the guide was so experienced and nice, helpful and made the whole thing much better. Their camps are very nice and organized. Very good one, highly recommended!
The Safari of a Lifetime: An Unforgettable Honeymoon Experience
Our safari was truly the trip of a lifetime, and we couldnât have asked for a better experience for our honeymoon!
Almachius did an incredible job curating the perfect itinerary for us, from exploring Tarangire and the Central and Northern Serengeti to visiting the Ngorongoro Crater. He also arranged three unforgettable nights at the Four Seasons and helped my husband plan a surprise private dinner experience there, making our honeymoon even more special.
Mudy was the most incredible safari guide. From the moment we shared our priorities and the animals we hoped to see, he went above and beyond to make sure we had the opportunity to experience them. We were fortunate enough to see a black rhino in the Serengeti, which was an unforgettable highlight! One day, we were talking about how much we wanted to see another leopard, and Mudy listened carefully for its call and ultimately helped us find one. His knowledge of wildlife and ability to anticipate animal behavior were truly exceptional.
Beyond his expertise, Mudy always made sure we had the best photo opportunities and never rushed our experiences. He encouraged us to stay longer whenever we wanted to take in a special sighting, allowing us to fully appreciate those incredible moments in the wild. He even added a âJust Marriedâ sign to the back of our safari jeep, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel extra special as newlyweds.
From the thoughtful planning to the extraordinary wildlife encounters, every detail exceeded our expectations. We made memories that will last a lifetime and would wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania. If youâre looking for a personalized, seamless, and truly unforgettable safari, look no further!
Excellent, dependable, and accommodating safari tour company
Meru Slopes gave us an amazing and unforgettable safari experience. From initial contact our dealings with expert coordinator, Gift Tempo were wonderful. Gift expertly and kindly answered our multitude of questions and continued to transform our private safari until it was exactly as we had envisioned. Gift Tempo even dealt superbly with a last minute change on the 9th day. Gift was extremely accommodating and continually making sure we had an awesome, memorable safari experience. Jacob was our remarkable tour guide and driver! Jacob drove the Safari jeep, spotted so many different animals, taught us about Tanzania and the wildlife, taught us some Swahili words and phrases, took extremely great care of us, and felt like a wonderful, close friend by the end of our safari! It was because of Jacob that we saw the Mara River crossing twice! We also saw the great migration (herds of wildebeest and zebras, sometimes passing right in front of our jeep.) Jacob showed us a lion kill and a leopard kill. We saw cheetahs, lots of lions, elephants, buffalos, giraffes, hippos, rhinos, and many different antelopes. Jacob also pointed out many rare birds and had a bird book with him to show us their names. We saw many other jeeps broken down, but never a Meru Slopes jeep. We stayed at the hotels, lodges, and tented camps that Meru Slopes recommended and we liked them all. It is so true that the company (Meru Slopes) and the people (Gift Tempo and Jacob) make or break your African Safari experience. We had the BEST (along with the other Meru Slopes employees that supported them.) We are recommending Meru Slopes Tours, Gift Tempo, and Jacob to everyone! Thank you for an amazing âOnce-in-a-lifetimeâ safari experience!
