An authentic experience in Uganda with Lulu Safaris
I started getting excited about the trip way before arriving in Uganda. Elvis was very helpful planning this trip. He was available to discuss option and questions and help me prepare. We did a 12 day trip around the country.
We had a bonus of two guides. Marc was the main guide and Joel was a trainee guide. Marc was a wonderful source of information on the sights and life in Uganda and Joel was a great driver keeping us safe. They were lovely company and calmly dealt with any challenges that arose.
Uganda is a special trip. It has a variety of wildlife and allows you to get as close as possible to the animals in their natural habitat. People are wonderful and friendly.
Hundreds of stories unfold just by looking out the window while driving through villages which I have carried home with me.
I would definitely recommend Lulu Safaris to anyone planning a trip to Uganda.

Ten days in Uganda with Lulu Safaris — flawless. Ask for Simon Peter, he's exceptional.
I'd been wanting to see mountain gorillas for years and Uganda finally happened this summer. Ten days, five parks, Lulu Safaris. What I didn't expect was how much of the trip would come down to the person driving. Simon Peter spotted things through the windscreen that I couldn't find even after he pointed at them. He never rushed us, never seemed tired of the questions, and handled roads I wouldn't have attempted in a tank. The gorillas were the headline, obviously, but the Kazinga Channel boat and the walking safari at Mburo were quietly just as good. Simon Peter is the reason I'd book with Lulu again.

Thrilling
We just returned from an incredible 6-day safari with Lulu in Uganda and Rwanda, which mainly included a golden monkey trek, a gorilla trek, a chimpanzee trek, jeep and boat safaris, and a guided tour of Kigali (where our trip started and ended). The entire trip significantly exceeded our expectations – both in terms of the incredible wildlife and nature we encountered and the overall experience.
Our two drivers, Audence and Smith, were outstanding. (We switched drivers partway through due to a personal emergency, but Audence was equally excellent.) Both demonstrated genuine hospitality, deep knowledge of local culture and wildlife, flexibility, patience, and genuine warmth. They're also safety-conscious drivers completely focused on giving us the best possible experience. Both made us feel comfortable to ask them for anything we might have needed help with. Also noticed that both had good relationships with the rangers at the respective parks, which helped ensure our positive trek experience.
We spent most of the trip with Smith, including on the safaris, and he has an exceptional eye for spotting wildlife – even animals camouflaged perfectly in their surroundings. Beyond that, Smith made real-time adjustments to our itinerary based on weather and other conditions to maximise our chances of seeing the animals on our wish list. His attentiveness meant we didn't miss a thing. More anecdotally, things like playing music we like in the car or stopping on the way for us to take a look at animals Smith spotted while driving between locations made the drives very pleasant and comfortable.
We're genuinely grateful to both Smith and Audence for making this safari so unforgettable!

Lulu Safaris gave us an unforgettable Uganda trip — and Simon Peter is a brilliant guide!
We have just returned from a 10-day safari through Uganda's major national parks with Lulu Safaris, and the single biggest reason it exceeded our expectations was our guide, Simon Peter.
Simon was outstanding from the moment he met us at Entebbe. He is a genuinely safe and confident driver on some very demanding roads, always calm and never in a hurry, and he knows the parks inside out. His eye for wildlife is remarkable — he found animals we would have driven straight past, and he always positioned the vehicle so we got the best possible view and photograph.
What made the difference, though, was how much he clearly cares about his work. He explained the wildlife, the ecosystems and the local culture with real enthusiasm, answered every question patiently, and was flexible whenever we wanted to change plans or stay a little longer somewhere. He was also excellent company: warm, funny and completely professional throughout.
We would recommend Simon Peter without hesitation to anyone travelling in Uganda, and we hope Lulu Safaris values him as much as we did

An Unforgettable Adventure in the "Pearl of Africa" – 10/10!
Uganda was, without a doubt, one of the most incredible trips of my lifetime! I went with not so high expectations, but the reality was completely different. Expect true off-road with the car. I absolutely loved every single moment of this trip.
What made it special:
The Wildlife Encounters: Trekking to see the mountain gorillas in Bwindi and the chimpanzees in Kibale was a deeply emotional, bucket-list experience that I will never forget, sitting 1m away from the silverback is something awesome. Trekking near giraffes and zebras is also something irepetable.
Great Landscapes and wildlife: The scenery is incredibly diverse, changing from the powerful Murchison Falls and classic savannas to the stunning, serene crater lakes like Lake Bunyonyi. Great parks, we loved Queen Elizabeth most because here we have seen all the big5 there in less than 2 hours, we were lucky for sure.
Authentic Safaris: Boat cruises on the Kazinga Channel and the Nile offered spectacular views of elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and unique birds without the heavy crowds of other destinations. We have seen hundreds of hippos, spectaculary big and dangerous wild animals.
Food: If you are into trying new food, local food, nothing will harm you there, the taste it is just different with what we were used at home. I have eaten everyday some sort of local food, some of them tasty, some not my kind. However, you always have options for international cuisine, so rest assured.
Accomodation: we stayed in some really nice lodges along the way, very clean everywhere, with trained personell, good options for food and drink. Internet is not everywhere available inside the rooms, we bought some eSim with internet data and the issue was solved. Network covereage I would say it was in 95% along the way.
Security: Perhaps one of the big question marks before travelling. Well nothing went wrong, during the 11 days there we did not feel at any point to be unsafe, quite the contrary.
Bottom line:If you love raw nature, wildlife, and authentic adventure, Uganda is a must-visit. I came home with a full heart and a massive desire to go back. Highly, highly recommended!
And on top of these all was Sam, our guide, that was extremly well prepared, very nice and polite, well educated person. He was able to tell us all kind of stories about the country, kingdoms there, history, animals, birds, etc. Without a doubt he enhanced the quality a lot.
