Nhlalala Travel name derived from a honey bird, a Shangaan language translated into English is Honeyguide bird. A valuable friend of the herdsmen as it known for guiding humans into bee colonies. As a result we find ourselves in position of playing a valuable role to our visitors, a role to lead them to South Africa hidden gem.

Fabulous Trip

We had a wonderful trip with Nhlalala Travel. Norman picked us up from Johannesburg airport and drove us up to Kruger National Park for our safari. The organisation of our 3 night/4 day trip was seamless and Norman made a great job of looking after us. We stayed at The Kruger Gate Hotel which was a fabulous location.

Our itinerary was:
Day One - Travel to Kruger - Sunset Safari
Day Two - Full day private safari
Day Three - Panoramic route
Day Four - Sunrise safari - return to Johannesburg

Norman has lots of knowledge and made sure we were well looked after from the minute he picked us up at Johannesburg airport to dropping us back off safely 4 days later.

Communication was great during hooking process and I'd happily use Nhlalala Travel again if I'm lucky enough to visit South Africa in the future.

Our trip with Nhlalala Travel to Kruger National Park and the Panorama Route was truly unforgettable. Our guide, Lucky was knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife and scenery we encountered. The accommodation was comfortable and the food was delicious. The highlight of the trip was seeing the animals up close in their natural habitat. The Panorama Route offered stunning views and unique experiences. I highly recommend Nhlalala Travel for an unforgettable safari experience.

I recently visited Johannesburg and was looking for a tour operator to show me around during my limited stay, during my search on Internet I found Nhlalala Travel. I must say without hesitation that this company is excellent. My chauffeur was Mr. Khongi, who is extremely cooperative, and very experienced. He knows his ways around the area and is pleasant to ride with. He very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend them highly for 100% satisfaction.

Norman was outstanding to coordinate the trip with due to his flexibility and prompt responses.

Norman was great at accommodating my travel and payment requests. Khongi was the driver assigned to my trip. He was a friendly and outgoing personality which made him easy to talk to. He expertly navigated the many potholes on the Panorama Route. I felt safe with his driving the entire trip.

The Kruger Gate Hotel was amazing as was the safari at Kruger National Park. The safari was a new experience, and I therefore had a lot of questions. All of the tour operators were patient to ensure I was comfortable. I did the full day safari which included two breaks. One in the morning and one for lunch.

The Panorama Route was a long trip back to Johannesburg. We made two stops. One at the Lisbon Falls and the second at the Blyde River Canyon (includes the Three Rondavels). The weather wasn't great but we managed to see the sites despite the rain and clouds. Beware that this route doubled the amount of time to drive back to Johannesburg.

Overall, Nhlalala Travel was a lovely group to work with.

Amazing experience.

Everything was perfect. No issues at all. Khongi was a fully knowleable guide, an amazing person and we had a fun drives with him. If I would have to repeat, I would not hesitate a second.
