I read a lot about Tanzania before we arrived, and I have to say it far exceeded my expectations—it was even better! We discovered a truly beautiful country with amazing nature and wonderful people. My childhood dream was to go on a safari, and my husband and I couldn’t be happier that we chose Tanzania for our honeymoon!
Our adventure began in Tarangire, which will forever hold a special place in our hearts. I don't know if it's simply because it was our very first day and where it all began, but it was nothing short of magical, surrounded by giant baobab trees and majestic elephants roaming freely.
Next, we headed to Serengeti, which quickly became our favorite of all. We spent two amazing days there where everything felt like a dream. Our highlight was when our tour guide spotted a massive male lion, and we were literally just a meter away from him! Just a little further away, we spotted two lionesses with three tiny cubs, and a few minutes later, a cheetah mother with four little cubs feeding. That completely topped off our experience!
After that, the Ngorongoro Crater was equally breathtaking. There we saw a big population of flamingos and the final animal on our checklist—a rhino! Lake Magadi inside the crater was so beautiful, and we had the opportunity to have lunch and take a quick walk there, surrounded by the stunning green walls and wildlife grazing all around us.
Finally, Lake Manyara National Park offered a fascinating change of scenery to wrap up our trip. It has a very large population of monkeys, and we also saw many elephants and giraffes. The nature was much different from the other places, featuring lush groundwater forests and stunning views of the lake.
The feeling of just being in these national parks is hard to describe. In fact, we’ve already promised ourselves that we will definitely return for our anniversary. We gladly recommend this destination to all our friends and family, because it is truly worth it!

Destiny explorers made our honeymoon an unforgettable adventure. Well organized and our guide/driver David was an excellent host. He is a friendly and very knowledgeable guide and had good eyes for details and hidden animals we definitely would have missed. As a driver he drove responsibly and safe.
The hotels and tented lodges were between good and fantastic; absolutely a wonderful experience that created lasting memories.

What started with a very impromptu request for the next day, became a wonderful experience for the day. Issa was so friendly and very quick with his communication and even made the effort to greet us the next day before we went on our day trip to the Materuni waterfalls with Nick, who was also great. We were then met by a local guide who was very knowledgeable and so lovely and took us on the short hike to the waterfalls. After that the locals had prepared a tasty lunch and we could experience the whole process of making coffee from the bean on the tree to the last sip - with a whole local ceremony. It was such a brilliant day. Of course it will all be made for tourists, but it never felt like a 'process' and everyone was so personable and down to earth. Nick the driver was also fantastic and navigated the bumpy roads very well and with a friendly vibe. We'd definitely recommend these guys. Asante sana!

We booked our safari in Tanzania with Destiny Explorers, and we would choose them again without hesitation. From our very first contact to the end of our trip, everything went smoothly. Communication with Issa, the owner, was always friendly, professional, reliable and never pushy. We felt we were in good hands from the very beginning.

Destiny Explorers is a small, locally owned company and a great alternative to the many large tour operators run by foreign companies. What really impressed us was the excellent value for money. For everything that was included, the price was hard to beat.

A very special thank you goes to our guide, Hussein. His warm personality, helpfulness and incredible knowledge made our safari an unforgettable experience. Whether we had questions about animals, plants, nature or everyday life in Tanzania, he was always happy to answer them, and we learned so much from him. He had a real eye for spotting animals we would never have noticed ourselves. He could often tell what might happen next just by watching their behaviour. Thanks to him, we were able to see large prides of lions, cheetahs hunting and even rare rhinos. He always took his time with us and did much more than simply drive us from one place to another.

What stood out to us in particular was how dedicated Hussein was. We sometimes saw other safari guides drop their guests off at a viewing spot and then wait in their vehicles. Hussein, on the other hand, always came along with us, pointed out interesting details and explained what we were seeing. It was clear that he truly cares about his work and about making sure his guests have the best possible experience.

The accommodation and food were also very good throughout the trip. The places we stayed were beautifully located and offered the perfect setting to relax after exciting days on safari. Everything was very well organised, so we never had to worry about the arrangements or logistics.

Our days in Tarangire, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater were filled with special moments we will never forget. Seeing wild animals in their natural surroundings and spending nights surrounded by nature were truly extraordinary experiences.

Our conclusion:
If you are looking for an authentic safari with a dedicated local company, an excellent guide and outstanding value for money, Destiny Explorers is the perfect choice. We are incredibly grateful for this experience and wholeheartedly recommend Issa, Hussein and the entire team!
