A very well organised tour
We arranged a very last minute tour through this operator and the communication was excellent with very quick responses to all of my questions via email and WhatsApp. Everything worked out perfectly, with the drivers always exactly where they said they'd be at the time they said. I normally arrange my own transport, hotels, tours, etc. But this operator took all the stress out of it and the accommodation they arranged was all very good. They were flexible- I told them what time we had and what we wanted to do and they quickly built the package based on that. The safari was excellent- we saw so many animals and a range of different scenery. It was great being a private tour as well. My only negative was that the safari guide/driver wasn't the friendliest- he spent most of the time on his phone and didn't really seem to enjoy his job. However, he done an excellent job at finding animals and was a good driver.

The perfect safari experience
Rochar Africa Expeditions was our choice of tour operator when we decided to treat ourselves to a ten-year wedding anniversary safari in Masai Mara, and for obvious reasons. From our first contact with Phinorah Moruri, her promptness and service-mindedness set Rochar apart from the other operators we approached via SafariBookings – shoutout to Phinorah! Rochar catered to all our wishes and needs in a compact, complete yet ambitious plan: pickup at Nairobi Airport by a private guide, drive directly to Masai Mara, accommodation at the wonderful Mara Ngenche Camp – shoutout to manager Paul and his wonderful staff – and plenty of game drives for three whole days before flying back to Nairobi from the park.
We were promised a good guide, and our hopes were fully met in the very capable hands of Benson L. Maatany, who must be the best driver and guide in Masai Mara – shoutout to Benson! We're so grateful!
In summary, and thanks to Rochar's arrangements, everything was executed to perfection. A 10/10 experience we'll remember forever. We give Rochar Africa Expeditions our warmest recommendation. Look no further!

The hot air balloon and Diani Beach add-on was well worth the money.
We were lucky to be able to see the Big 5 and thank the team for the hard work and dedication, every single moment was accounted for and we have enjoyed this as our first time in Kenya!

I worked with Phinorah to organize my trip to Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and Maasai Mara and Simon was my guide. The accommodations at each location were absolutely gorgeous and the game drives were more than fulfilling and fun. Simon was very knowledgeable and we were able to see the Big 5 thanks to his skillful navigation and strategic communication with other game drivers. I would book with him again as he is very kind and experienced. He answered my questions about the wildlife and did his best to put me in close view. I was also able to book a hot air balloon ride over the Mara and would 100000% recommend it. My heart felt so full and gleeful as we flew over the park and watched the sun rise.
As a female solo traveler there were a few moments I felt anxious and uncomfortable with the behavior of certain staff at Amboseli Serena and Ilkeliani Mara (I was asked for my home address by someone who took interest and wanted to “visit” me and was asked about whether black and white people “mix” in the US or live in separate neighborhoods, amongst other strange personal questions about my household and marital status), but Simon and Phinorah made sure to support me and ensure my comfort and safety at every juncture. They reported my discomfort and the managers of both hotels apologized and addressed the situation. Overall I enjoyed my trip to Kenya and would do it again, just maybe not alone.

The trip was full of surprises as the safaris never got boring from zebras to leopards and cheetah, the wild flavour kept getting better each day, all thanks to Mr. Samuel Kisemei and his instincts and abilities throughout the safari. Apart from the safari experience, our trip kept getting better because of the amazing person that Mr. Samuel is, he is always ready to give the best experiences throughout the trip including spotting the rarest animals like leopards and cheetahs, which is legendary. Further, even the properties selected for us were absolutely beautiful. The cost could be more reasonable considering the number of days, however, the overall experience was fantastic.
