My two brothers and I recently had the absolute pleasure of doing gorilla trekking in both Uganda and Rwanda with Moroka Expeditions, and to say it was magical would be an understatement.

We went in expecting a “budget” trip, but honestly? The hotels and lodges felt 5-star in every way—clean, comfortable, welcoming, and always in the most stunning locations. The logistics were seamless, the vehicles were safe and comfortable, and we never once felt uneasy or unsure. Gerald checked in constantly to make sure we were happy and safe, and it honestly felt like we had a friend guiding us through East Africa.
The gorilla trekking itself was beyond anything we could’ve imagined—intimate, awe-inspiring, and deeply moving. Both Uganda and Rwanda offered completely different but equally breathtaking experiences. We were often left speechless.
