Our First Safari in Tanzania. An Unforgettable Experience!
We chose Serengeti Wakanda Tours & Safaris for our very first safari in Tanzania, booking their 7-day package from September 12th to 18th.
Our itinerary allowed us to explore Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. From the very beginning, we received a warm welcome from both the Wakanda team and the accommodations where we stayed.
Our package included two nights in lodge/hotel-style accommodation and three nights camping, two in the Serengeti and one in Ngorongoro. The camping experience turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip, especially considering that it was our very first time camping!
Throughout the safari, we were accompanied by Paulo, our guide, together with Sulle, our personal cook.
Paulo was simply outstanding. He guided us more like a friend welcoming us into his own home than just a tour guide, making us feel comfortable from day one and helping us appreciate every moment even more. He shared his knowledge and passion for wildlife, telling us interesting facts about all kinds of animals, including lesser-known species that often receive less attention than the famous Big Five.
One of the things we appreciated most was his approach to the safari: always taking our time, without rushing from one sighting to another just to tick off as many animals as possible. He always gave us the opportunity to observe, enjoy every moment and, of course, take photographs at our own pace. He was also incredibly attentive when positioning the vehicle, always looking for the best angles and viewpoints to help us capture the animals in the best possible way.
The safari vehicle was also extremely comfortable and spacious, allowing us to bring all our luggage along without any problems. Thanks to Paulo's great company and friendly personality, even the longer drives never felt tiring or boring.
A special mention also goes to Sulle, who treated us to delicious traditional Tanzanian meals every day. The food was always varied, plentiful and genuinely excellent. We really enjoyed every meal, and his presence was another wonderful part of the experience.
Camping was a real revelation! Sleeping in the heart of the savannah, far away from everything, surrounded by the wilderness and beneath an incredible star-filled sky, gave us a unique feeling of connection with nature that is difficult to put into words.
The whole trip went far beyond our expectations, thanks to the professionalism and kindness of the entire team, as well as the good fortune of encountering an incredible number of animals, including some rather rare and difficult-to-spot species.
Our only small regret was not being able to reach the northern part of the Serengeti to witness the Great Migration, as the distances would have been too great given the time available. But, after all, we now have the perfect excuse to come back to Tanzania!

well-organized, personalized safari in Tanzania with beautiful accommodations
We had an absolutely amazing experience on our tailor-made 8-day safari through four of Tanzania’s national parks as a couple. The parks were breathtaking, and the entire trip was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.
The organization was excellent, both during the booking process and throughout the safari itself. Communication was clear, reliable, and professional, and the accommodations were beautiful and above average, making each evening a wonderful way to end the day. Our safari vehicle was also in excellent condition and very comfortable.
A special thank you goes to our guide, Filex, who truly made this trip exceptional. He listened to our wishes and drove safely at all times. His knowledge and incredible eye for wildlife allowed us to spot so many animals that we would almost certainly have missed on our own. Filex was friendly, professional, and approachable. He found the perfect balance between sharing his knowledge and giving us space to enjoy the experience in peace.
If you are looking for a well-organized, personalized safari in Tanzania with beautiful accommodations, excellent service, and a knowledgeable guide, you will be in very good hands. We would book with them again without hesitation.

An unforgettable safari with an exceptional guide!
We had a wonderful experience with Serengeti Wakanda Tour and Safari. Everything was very well organised, but the highlight was our guide, Zepha! His knowledge of the parks took us off the beaten track, giving us incredible wildlife encounters, often with no other vehicles around. His fascinating explanations about the wildlife and plants across all three parks made the experience even more special. A huge thank you to Zepha for making this such a memorable trip!

We couldn’t recommend Serengeti Wakanda more if you’re looking to book a safari in Tanzania.
Firstly, a thank you to Aishwarya who was our first point of contact when enquiring about our trip. From the planning stage, Aishwarya was so helpful in tailoring our tour to suit us. She went above and beyond to create the perfect itinerary for us. She was always incredibly helpful, responding almost instantly to any questions we had. She kept in touch with us throughout the safari, messaging to check that everything was going well and keeping us updated with pick-up times etc. So a big thank you to Aishwarya!
Secondly, Jeremiah. Our absolute legend of a safari guide. He was just brilliant and made our safari even more special. He was like a walking encyclopaedia when it came to the animals and wildlife, and there wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer! We learnt sooo much from him. We had so much fun together and laughed a lot along the way. He is so so passionate about what he does, and it really showed. We were lucky enough to see an incredible amount of wildlife thanks to Jeremiah, and he knew all the places to get us the best sightings. He even made sure he positioned the jeep at the right angles so I could get some amazing photos. By the end of our time together, it felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend rather than our guide. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to share our safari experience with! Every safari operator needs a Jeremiah, and Serengeti Wakanda are lucky to have him.
For the length of our tour and what was included, we were really impressed with the price. The booking of our internal flights were took care of, all accommodation and transfers were arranged, and we were supplied with drinks throughout the safari. We were also surprised with some gifts which was a really lovely touch!
To sum up, we would 1000000% book with Serengeti Wakanda again, and wouldn’t even consider using another company if we ever came to booking a similar trip in the future. Thank you Serengeti Wakanda, we had the best time ever!

We would also like to say a huge thank you to the entire team at LaLa Salama Luxury Camp. What an absolutely magical place! The accommodation was beautiful, surrounded by breathtaking wilderness, with a truly unique and unforgettable atmosphere. The staff were exceptional – so warm, welcoming, and attentive that they would do absolutely anything to make us happy and comfortable.
One of the most incredible experiences was hearing lions and hyenas in the wild every single night. Falling asleep to the sounds of the African wilderness was something truly extraordinary that we will never forget! And the food? Absolutely delicious! Every meal was fantastic.
Last but certainly not least, our biggest thanks go to Goodluck, who organized our entire safari.
His dedication, professionalism, and willingness to help were simply outstanding! Unfortunately, our trip started with unexpected complications caused by a delayed international flight, which seriously affected our original travel plans.
However, Goodluck handled everything incredibly quickly and efficiently. He was always responsive, patient, and determined to find the best possible solution. Thanks to his efforts, he managed to reorganize our entire safari so that we wouldn’t miss out on the incredible experiences we had been looking forward to.
