Michelle Astbury arranges African trips of a lifetime!

Five stars. A once in a lifetime trip

I traveled solo for about 24 days through Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa on an itinerary Michelle put together for me. I stayed at Kwando Kwara in the Okavango Delta, and Kwando Lagoon Camp, and at Chobe Game Lodge in Botswana. After that came Ilala Lodge in Victoria Falls, then Cape Town, and I finished at Mala Mala in Kruger.

I saw a great deal of wildlife along the way. Every transfer and flight ran on time and exactly as planned, across three countries, and I never had to chase anything. The lodges were a great choice in each region, and the staff treated me very well throughout.

The itinerary was planned with real care, and it was clear Michelle knows these places well. It was the best trip I have taken, and I would not hesitate to book with her again or recommend her to anyone planning a safari.

We had an abzolutely amazing trip to Africa, and we never would have been able to put it all together nearly as thoroughly or as impeccably as Michelle did! I tend to do all of the organizing of our family trips, but this time I left the planning to Michelle and Explore and Travel Africa, and I am incredibly glad that I did. Everything was smooth and flawless, and the accommodations and excursions gave us an experience that could not have been topped. From our stay at Sabi Sand, to our trip on the Panoramic Route with a Michelle-selected birder, to all of our connecting flights, to the other places we stayed, it was all wonderful! I can't recommend Michelle or her company enough!

Michelle was helpful in designing our tour. She had little time to organize this but it was great.

Our tour combined major cities with a Safari at Thornybush (Kwambilli), a cruise on the Chobi River, Victoria Falls and the Okavanga Delta including a helicopter ride to see the vastness of the delta. The food was diverse and amazing. Two weeks later and I still look at my photos everyday.

Michelle was very helpful as my group (7 people) considered and refined our options for our trip to Africa. She ultimately planned and arranged our trip that included a few days in Cape Town, a few days at Victoria Falls, Chobe National Park and ending with an amazing safari at Daka Plains, a private concession in Hwange National park. Michelle was very knowledgeable and provided great insight and advice as we planned our trip. Our trip included several tours that were insightful, fun and educational. All of the hotel and travel accommodations were great. Daka Plains was an amazing 4 day experience. We had a very knowledgeable and experienced guide who educated us on the wildlife, plant-life and the southern region of Africa as well. Every meal at Daka Plains was exceptional; the entire staff was professional and accommodating

Michelle's combined insight, knowledge, experience, communication and execution helped make our trip the best ever.
