An unforgettable adventure—beautiful places, amazing wildlife, great memories, and stories for a lif
5/5

We recently completed an extensive safari through Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda with One More Adventure Safaris, organized by Fred Odyek. Overall, it was an outstanding and memorable African experience, covering an incredible variety of landscapes, wildlife and activities.

Our journey took us through Nairobi, Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, the Masai Mara, Northern and Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Arusha, followed by Uganda, where we visited Kibale, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi and Lake Mburo.

The wildlife experience in Kenya and Tanzania was exceptional. Among the many highlights were seeing thousands of wildebeest during the Great Migration, including a river crossing in the Northern Serengeti; numerous lion prides and cubs; cheetahs, including a mother with very young cubs; a cheetah hunt and kill; a leopard resting in a tree; elephants, giraffes, rhinos, buffalo, hippos, zebras and many other animals. We even witnessed an unsuccessful lion hunt on a buffalo. These were experiences we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Uganda provided a completely different experience and complemented the Kenya/Tanzania safari very well. Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale, game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park, the journey through southwestern Uganda and, above all, gorilla trekking in Bwindi were major highlights. Seeing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat was one of the most extraordinary experiences of the entire trip.

Our Uganda driver/guide deserves special recognition. When our safari vehicle developed a problem, he quickly arranged another vehicle and driver so that we lost very little safari time. His resourcefulness and commitment to keeping our trip on schedule were greatly appreciated.

Fred did an excellent job putting together a complicated multi-country itinerary. Coordinating transportation, border crossings, accommodations, safari vehicles, guides and activities for such a long trip is not easy, and overall the arrangements worked very well. Fred was accessible and responsive when issues arose, which is particularly important on a trip of this complexity.

One area where the experience could be improved further is communication between drivers/guides and passengers. Good communication about the day’s plans, driving times, wildlife sightings, stops and any changes to the schedule can make a significant difference on a long safari. Encouraging more regular interaction between drivers and passengers would make an already excellent experience even better.

The accommodations ranged from comfortable hotels to tented safari camps in spectacular locations, and staying close to the wildlife added enormously to the experience. Traveling overland through Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda also allowed us to see much more than just the national parks—the landscapes, villages and everyday life along the way became an important part of the journey.

This was a long and ambitious safari, and by the end we felt that we had experienced an extraordinary cross-section of East Africa: the great savannas and migration of Kenya and Tanzania, the primates and lush landscapes of Uganda, and an astonishing variety of wildlife throughout.

We would recommend One More Adventure Safaris and Fred Odyek, particularly for travelers looking for a customized, multi-country East African safari. Fred and his team worked hard to make our journey successful, and we came away with countless unforgettable experiences and memories.

Thank you, Fred and the One More Adventure team, for helping make this an adventure of a lifetime.

Our safari was once in a lifetime experience.. Fred was very resourceful, responsive to all the needs of our group of 12 folks, and had a great sense of humor. His itinerary was detailed. All the accommodations were wonderful. The drivers were wonderful and very resourceful. The food was out of the world.. If ai were to do the safari again.. I would do One More Safari all over again!

Fred managed our tour and provided excellent service for the whole trip. He was constantly in touch

A soul shifting experience
5/5

What an incredibly rich, immersive experience of Rwanda organized and supported by One More Adventures. From the moment we were collected at the airport finding thoughtful gift bags on our vehicle seats, to organizing the trekking and tours, to adding to our itinerary when flights were changed, to ensuring coffee and bathroom breaks while we travelled, to fixing any problems as they arose....nothing is too big or small for this company. Super approachable, easy to chat to ensure your best experience. There are no hidden costs - all tours and museum entrance fees are included making it easy to budget. If you can, allow for an extra day or two after your gorilla trek and chat to Fred about where else you can go and what you can see. There is so much - this country is magnificent!

Amazing Experience with incredible service
