Very patience, easy to understand and pole pole with us
An incredible travel experience. From the very first contact, Gift was super friendly and always available for any questions. Edson picked me up from the airport, and the guides Germán and Nuru were also incredibly kind and generous in answering all our queries.
They explained everything in... Read more the best way possible to ensure we left at the best times and made the most of each day. With patience, and a bit of luck, we managed to see the Big Five!
They also guided us to buy local products at roadside shops, like red bananas and Kilimanjaro coffee.
No matter what came up, it was always Hakuna Matata! 100% recommended for the best experience in Tanzania

In the Heart of Nature
I went on a safari with my partner with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris, and it was undoubtedly the best safari experience we’ve ever had. From the first contact to the last day of the trip, everything was perfectly organized, professional, and full of details that made all the difference.
Our guide,... Read more Jacob, was amazing. His knowledge of the wildlife, parks, and local culture made every moment fascinating. Additionally, his willingness to teach us about all types of animals and explain their behavior greatly enriched the experience. Thanks to him, we were able to see the Big Five in their natural habitat, which was a dream come true.
We enjoyed stays at some of Tanzania’s most iconic parks, such as Tarangire, Serengeti, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro, where each park offered a unique experience. The views, the wildlife, and the atmosphere were simply stunning. The stay in the Ngorongoro Crater was especially memorable, as it felt like being in a world apart, surrounded by nature at its finest.
I also want to highlight the fantastic chef Buga, who did an amazing job ensuring we had different, delicious, balanced, and healthy meals throughout the trip. The meals were truly exceptional, and not only that, there were always drinks available, even in the middle of the Serengeti, which made the experience even more comfortable and enjoyable.
The accommodations were comfortable, the food was excellent, and the human warmth was truly remarkable.
I highly recommend this company to everyone, whether it’s your first safari or you’ve been on others: Jacob and Buga know how to create a unique and unforgettable experience. Thank you for everything!
Asante Sana

Incredible, perfectly planned, 6 day safari in Tanzania
Our safari was nothing short of perfection. We organized the tour through Kelvin who was responsive and helpful in adjusting our itinerary. They were very flexible when we had to change flights due to a last minute cancellation. The safari itself was absolutely gorgeous. Our tour guide Florian was very... Read more knowledgeable and frankly superhuman at spotting the animals. Several times on the tour we were the first jeep to spot some of the more rare animals like the rhino.
We did a 6 day itinerary that included 2 travel days and 4 full days of visiting parks and doing the game drive. Every day was filled with new scenery and animals. We saw every animal I could have imagined including the big 5. Meals were delicious. We stayed two nights at the hotel in Arusha, one night at a lodge in Karatu and two nights at a bush camp. All the facilities were very comfortable and service was absolutely top notch. I would definitely recommend this tour company and this trip to everyone. In terms of value for money, definitely worth every penny.

A decision that u won’t go wrong
I booked my trip a year in advance but was lazy and unprepared with the arrangements. As the flight date approached, I researched and learned that a Tanzania safari isn’t possible without a tour or guide. I did a deep search for travel agents in my home country and online, comparing at least six operators.... Read more At the last minute, I chose Meru Slope, and I’m so lucky I picked the right one! My partner and I enjoyed every moment of our tour. Our driver, Patrick, took care of us like family. The arrangements were flawless—meals (including my lunch with white wine), transportation, and accommodations were perfect. I felt incredibly grateful by the end of the trip. Having traveled to over 40 countries, this was one of my best experiences. When I got home, my local travel agent even asked for more details about the trip, as they hadn’t heard of such a great experience before. If you come across this post, trust me—book with Meru Slope, and you’ll enjoy it as much as I did!

Amazing budget-friendly adventure
My sister and I went on a 6-day joining safari with Meru Slopes & Tours back in October, and it was an amazing adventure. We chose the “6 day wildebeest migration” package and yes, we got to see two river crossings! All in all we experienced many beautiful and awe-inspiring sightings across Serengeti,... Read more Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire. By the end, we all wished we had been able to spend more time in the safari. In addition, the group we were assigned with was great and it’s one of the reasons both of us enjoyed the safari so much.
Meru Slopes provides great attention the moment you contact them. I first contacted them through their email form, and got into contact with Jerome, who was very helpful in booking the safari and even offered us a small discount. The payment process was very easy, and if you happen to be in Tanzania a few weeks before the safari (say, for Zanzibar or Kilimanjaro) you can even deposit the advance fee in person at a local NMB branch, saving you some transfer fees. Jerome also helped us coordinate an additional stay at the hotel and the airport transfer, which was very useful. The moment you arrive in Arusha you are in Meru Slopes’ care, which I really appreciated.
Stanley, our driver and guide, accompanied us all days. He is a very skilled driver and has a great eye for positioning and anticipating where animals where approach. He helped us achieve some really great sightings of lions and cheetahs which where one of the many highlights of our safari. He is also very knowledgeable and friendly, and was always on time to depart very early in the morning to make the most of our days. Our cook, Johannes, always provided very bountiful and delicious meals, and he was always in a great mood. I personally noticed some similarities with my home country’s cooking so I enjoyed the food a lot.
The accommodations where quite good considering the budget. The tents in the camp sites are more comfortable than I expected, and at Serengeti you get to spend the night surrounded by nature and hearing animals nearby, under a beautiful starry sky, which is simply unforgettable. Though the weather was not very kind to us that week, with some rainy days, Meru Slopes still did their best to accommodate for it. We also did not manage to spot leopards or rhinos, but after everything else we saw, I really can’t complain.
In summary, an amazing adventure, highly recommended, and at a great price.
