Exceptional Service, Genuine Care, and Outstanding Reliability

Beyond Travel provided excellent service throughout our trip. Whenever we had questions or encountered problems, their team responded incredibly quickly and did their best to find solutions. Their communication, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help gave us great peace of mind, especially while traveling in a foreign country.

I would also like to give special thanks to our driver, Chris. He was professional, friendly, reliable, and made our journey comfortable and enjoyable. We truly appreciated his patience and the care he showed throughout the trip.

What makes Beyond Travel stand out is that they don’t simply provide a tour; they genuinely care about their customers and their experience. Ahmed was incredibly responsive and trustworthy right from minute one. I was a bit nervous at first after a few bad experiences elsewhere, but Ahmed showed complete professionalism, great communication, and top-tier hospitality throughout our entire trip! He was super adaptable and made everything run seamlessly.
As for the gorilla trekking experience—words can’t even describe it. Absolute 10/10 and a total must-do!
A big shoutout to Chris as well, who was super nice, punctual, and kind. He has such a good heart! He did drive a bit fast, but only because we were running late to ensure we didn't miss our gorilla trek timing, which we really appreciated.
We would use this tour operator 1,000 times over without hesitation. Thank you for an unforgettable adventure!

Sam and Ahmed went above and beyond to make my experience in Akagera unforgettable. Ahmed was extremely helpful and responsive during planning, while Sam (my guide) was professional and very knowledgeable. Thanks to Sam's know-how we managed to see elephants, giraffes and rhinos up close. The boat trip was also a plus with Innocent as a captain showing crocodiles, hippos and birds. An experience I will never forget!

Unforgettable gorilla trek

We booked a 3-day gorilla trek with Beyond Travel and had an amazing experience. Communication during planning was very good, our guide was always on time, and both the trek and the accommodation were fantastic. Our guide also went out of his way with the little things, like helping me buy coffee at a local store.

The standout moment was a medical situation in a remote area. Our guide found a doctor and brought them to us, and it was covered by insurance. We were really grateful for that care.

The one area for improvement is clarity on the ground. Our itinerary clearly listed what was included, but on the trip we'd like to be able to trust our guide to take us to those things without checking the PDF all the time. A couple of times, like the last day's activity and a lunch that was supposed to be included, we had to raise it ourselves, and we weren't sure who was covering the medical costs. Nothing that spoiled the trip, but a quick "here's what's included and who's paying for what" from the team would make it a perfect 5. Still highly recommended.

We had an absolutely amazing 8-day safari through Uganda and Rwanda, visiting some incredible places including Murchison Falls, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi and Volcanoes National Park. From wildlife and chimpanzee habituation to the gorilla and golden monkey treks, the whole experience was truly unforgettable.

A huge part of what made the trip so special was our guide, Balaam. He was extremely professional, always on time, very knowledgeable about the areas we visited and, most importantly, incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and their behaviour. Thanks to his experience and excellent eye for wildlife, we were able to witness some truly memorable sightings. He always made an effort to find the best possible opportunities for us and made sure we were enjoying every part of the safari. His positive attitude and professionalism made us feel completely comfortable throughout the trip, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide.

I also want to highlight our communication before the safari with Ahmed, who was excellent from the very beginning. He was professional, responsive and patient, answering all of our questions before the trip and making sure we had all the information we needed. The booking process was smooth and well organised, which gave us confidence that everything was taken care of.

Overall, this was an incredible experience that we will remember for a very long time. Uganda and Rwanda exceeded our expectations, and having such a professional and knowledgeable team made the whole trip even better.

A special thank you to Balaam and Ahmed, we would absolutely recommend them and would happily travel with them again!
