Kenya Safari& Diani beach

I chose Josero Tours and Safari from Safari bookings. From the start, Josero team were very prompt in communicating 24/7, literally!! Henry and Judith did a fabulous job creating an itinerary making sure to accommodate our requests. The Director of the company, Joseph got involved from day 1 of my contacting this group. Since this is our first time visiting Kenya, across 1000s of miles, this gave us a lot of confidence to choose Josero! They were very prompt in answering all our questions and they greeted us at the airport and provided all the support like a family! Henry and Judith went over and beyond, took us around on the first day of our visit to Nairobi and made us comfortable.
We went to Masai Mara, lake Nakuru, Amboseli and Diani Beach and flew in and out of Nairobi. They had good network of people working with them at Diani beach and for the Safari. Three out of four hotels ( Mara Serena, Nakuru Sopa lodge and Diani Sea resort) we stayed were really wonderful, comfortable and provided vegetarian food! There were some minor issues due to miscommunication/ issues with the hotels which they promptly took care. As another reviewer has mentioned, Josero is rather new and they are learning along the way!! However, they were very prompt, professional and checking on us several times throughout our trip.

Any safari trip needs a good tour guide and I totally give a 5- star to Josero for providing an outstanding tour guide, Duncan Felix Ogongo. He was a great guide, providing interesting and valuable information about all the animals and Kenyan culture which made the Safari trip a safe, enjoyable and an excellent experience! He was a very safe driver and took personal care of our family during our trip. We discussed a lot and learned a lot from each other!
We were really treated well taken care by Josero. Overall, our Safari trip was a memorable and an excellent one, thanks to Josero tours and Safari for their seamless effort to make it happen. I will choose Josero travels and Safaris again when we visit Kenya next time! I recommend them to anyone looking for a tour operator in Kenya.

We chose Josero Tours and Safaris for our honeymoon, and it was the best decision we could have made. This was our first trip to Africa, and everything exceeded our expectations. The safari was perfectly organized, the accommodations were stunning and romantic, and every game drive felt like a dream.

Sharing such incredible moments together—watching elephants at sunrise, enjoying candlelit dinners, and experiencing the beauty of the wild made our honeymoon truly unforgettable. Satisfies all your tour desires

My wife chose this safari, and I had a great time! Our safari guide was friendly and knowledgeable. And I saw LOTS of animals! Also most animals were very close. I only had a 400mm zoom, but it was more than sufficient, and many animals were so close to the car, you could use a cellphone! And the variety was great. Gazelles, antelopes, Cape buffalo, and zebras were often all around together in the same herd at the same time, in addition to the really big animals like elephants and giraffes. Giraffes are my favorite and hearing that, our guide made sure I got to see plenty.

Of course we saw lions, so many lions. They don’t try to hide. We saw every animal I imagined seeing except a leopard, and after seeing over 20 vehicles pursuing a leopard that had hidden in some bushes, we explained to our guide we had seen leopards before, and would rather see something else. We did see a cheetah which was very special and new to us.

We had multiple days in each park, which allows you to get past the 100 pictures of animals grazing and observe more behavior, like zebras rolling in dust, and antelope locking horns. We saw a pair of giraffes fighting! Looked and *sounded* very painful.

We went to multiple areas, Maasai Mara, Amboseli, and the lakes. But really you could see almost everything at Maasai Mara if you spend enough time there. We saw rhinos at Lake Nakuru only, but we saw plenty there and both black and white rhinos.

You can apply all the cliche phrases, “trip of a lifetime”, “magical”, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed my safari. I have no regrets. I can’t think of what I would do differently. Since the company and guide are what make it all go smoothly, I can definitely recommend Josero Tours to anyone planning a safari.

We booked an 8 day safari for two people with Josero, for November 2025 (low season). We were very happy with our purchase and would choose them again, for the reasons explained below.

In life, sometimes it is better to eat dessert first. We liked that Josero offered a tour that visited the usual destinations but in reverse order, i.e., Masai Mara followed by Lakes Nakuru and Naivasha, followed by Amboseli. We liked that Josero offered a tour that spent two or more nights in each hotel, so that we would not constantly be packing and unpacking. We also liked that Josero offered lodging options that put more than just a thin sheet of canvas between us and the nocturnal predators that we were coming to see. We were quite comfortable going with a young company with a short track record but strongly positive reviews, knowing that the company would be doing its best to build its reputation. We were comfortable with the price, given that we were staying in good lodgings (while we were gathering proposals for different companies, we noticed that some of them jacked up their prices quite a bit from what was listed on the Safari Bookings site, and Josero did not do this).

While arrangements were being made, Judith was attentive via WhatsApp and gave us good advice. Once the tour started, our guide and driver Lawi Miruka showed himself to be a calm and patient driver in his venerable pop-top Toyota Land Cruiser on the truck-infested roads. When we were in the parks, Lawi always had us in the right places at the right time to see interesting birds and animals. We are nature lovers, and we saw more animals of more kinds than we would ever have imagined. We even were lucky to witness some very interesting animal behavior that we never would have dreamed of, including a giraffe fight -- no biting, no kicking, but plenty of other kinds of violence.

As you may have noticed when trying to return an item that you bought online from an unfamiliar merchant, sometimes a customer gets good service until something goes wrong. But when our plans hit a snafu during one excursion, Josero rose to the occasion and made sure everything was taken care of for us. That's the true test of good service!

We would not hesitate to book with Josero again. Bring your binoculars, your camera zoom lens, and your field guide to the animals that interest you, and you'll have a great time too!
