I recently completed an 8-day private safari from Kigali (Rwanda) to Entebbe (Uganda) with Gorilla Specialist, and I can confidently say it was one of the most enriching and seamlessly organized travel experiences I’ve had.

From the very beginning, the planning process was responsive and flexible. Prisca and the reservations team were patient with multiple itinerary refinements and accommodation adjustments, and they worked constructively to align the program with my budget while maintaining a very good standard of lodges throughout.

The itinerary itself was exceptionally well balanced — combining primate trekking, classic savannah wildlife, boat safaris, and cultural encounters without ever feeling rushed.

Highlights included:

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi — a truly unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime encounter

Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest

Golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Game drives in Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls National Parks

Boat cruises on the Kazinga Channel and Victoria Nile

Rhino tracking at Ziwa Sanctuary

Logistically, the cross-border routing from Rwanda into Uganda was handled smoothly, with all permits and park formalities pre-arranged.

A special mention goes to JULIUS, my driver-guide, who was consistently professional, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout long driving days and early park starts. His wildlife spotting skills and willingness to adapt the pace of each day made a significant difference to the overall experience.

Interestingly — and very much appreciated — the company also arranged an additional support vehicle during parts of the safari, including a trainee guide and photographer. This was not something I had requested, but it added an extra dimension to the trip, and I look forward to seeing some of the photographic moments captured along the way.

Accommodation standards were solid across the board, with a particularly memorable stay overlooking the savannah in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The selection struck a good balance between comfort, location, and value.

Overall, the safari felt thoughtfully curated, well paced, and professionally delivered — especially considering the complexity of permits, distances, and park logistics involved in a Rwanda–Uganda circuit.

I would not hesitate to recommend Gorilla Specialist to solo travellers or anyone looking for a tailor-made primate and wildlife safari in East Africa.

Our road trip from dar es salaam was fun , all put together by Gorilla specialist. We got to know Gorilla specialist from our friend Daniel who stays in Arusha. Our plan was to tour Murchison falls national park. The journey was great , Uganda is great , and has beautiful scenery.
We thank Gorilla specialist and thank prisca their manager who kept with us.

After my workshop in Kampala Uganda , I was eager to visit mabamba swamp , since am a birder , I was so eager to see that rare bird.

Fortunately the hotel I slept at (K HOTELS ) recommended to me Gorilla specialist.
We got in touch , Prisca was spot on , we linked up and they took me on a shot visit to mabamba.

Am a solo female traveler , wanted a short holiday to Rwanda specifically in Kigali , my friend recommended me Gorilla specialist.
They helped me arrange my flights and accomodation.
They also helped me get a local guide in Kigali who helped me in city tour and made me comfortable in Rwanda since I was new there.

Organising a trip most especially for the school children is quiet hard , keeping them together, looking after them on the trip.

We contacted Gorilla Specialist limited to help us and organize a trip for us in the holidays. To help us choose places that would excite our kids and as well good places for education.
We also asked them for good transport means that would be safe for our children.
We visited Queen Elizabeth NP, Hima cement factory, Mubuku irrigation scheme and Sempaya hot springs, all these places were exciting for the kids.

Gorilla specialist went on and got good guides for us that helped our children to learn and to be safe from any dangers as children need close monitoring.
We recommend Gorilla Specialist for all your school tours and other tours.
