An Unforgettable First Safari Experience with Edwin Safari

This was my first time joining a safari, and I’m very glad that I chose Edwin Safari. In just seven days, the trip left me with incredibly wonderful memories and experiences.

Our guide was Amos. He has many years of guiding experience and is truly an expert at spotting wildlife. He drives safely, has a sharp eye for finding animals, and always knows the right places to try our luck. Almost all of the animals we saw were found thanks to him. In addition, he has extensive knowledge of birds and wildlife and is always happy to share it with patience and enthusiasm. On some days, he had to drive for long hours, yet he consistently maintained great energy and ensured a very safe journey.

Our contact person, Peter, was also extremely enthusiastic and friendly. He always responded to our questions promptly and helped us plan the most suitable itinerary. Once the schedule was confirmed, he immediately sent us the hotel booking confirmation details.

Without a doubt, this was a very successful safari trip in Kenya. The wonderful experience made me love this country and the African savannah even more. I would love to come back again, and I will definitely continue to choose Edwin Safari and Amos as my companions.

Everything was perfect! The guides, Kevin and Tommy, were exceptional. Kevin spoke Spanish perfectly.
It was a beautiful trip—we were able to see all the animals! Honestly, it wasn’t very crowded at that time of year, which made it even better. If you can go with more people, the jeep is cheaper per person, and definitely choose the jeep because it’s much better than a van. It’s better to pay in cash whenever possible, as banks charge very high fees.

I book last minute for a holiday safari. He pulled together a nice package for us. Plus as residents of Kenya, he didn’t try to gouge us on pricing! He just made a long term client of us by offering great value and great packages. Happy to find out he does safaris in other countries too!

We had an absolutely unforgettable 7-day safari experience with Edwin Safaris, and we cannot say enough good things about our incredible safari guide Jeffrey and the wonderful Peter who coordinated everything!
From the very beginning, Peter was exceptional. He worked with us to customize our itinerary to perfectly match our preferences, showing incredible patience and attentiveness throughout the entire planning process. Peter went above and beyond by even helping us secure train tickets to Mombasa for after our safari, which is something that requires a Kenyan SIM card and would have been impossible without his assistance. The payment process was seamless; I used Wise to wire the deposit and paid the remaining balance upon arrival without any issues.
The safari itself was nothing short of MAGICAL! Jeffrey is an extraordinary guide. He is deeply knowledgeable, genuinely kind, and so funny. His passion for nature and wildlife shines through in everything he does. What truly impressed us was his genuine respect for the animals’ wellbeing during our drives. He balanced giving us the most incredible safari experience while never disturbing or stressing the wildlife. This care and professionalism made the experience even more special.
Over 7 days, we visited 4 national parks and saw more wild animals than we could have ever dreamed of. Jeffrey was incredibly attentive, always making sure we had time to stop for photos, take breaks, or anything else we needed. The vehicle was spotless and comfortable, with cold bottled water always stocked in the fridge. As women traveling in a foreign country, we felt completely safe and cared for the entire time.

Our 7 day safari to Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and the Massai Mara was the trip of a lifetime. After reviewing four options for safaris, we chose Edwin Safaris because of the range of locations included. Responses to our questions were quick, and Peter was most helpful with extras we requested. Our guide-driver was James, and he was wonderful, knowledgeable about the animals, birds, and geography, and he made every effort to help us to see a wide range of animals and birds, and so we were able to see the big five! Each of the locations we explored had a variety of animals, some found in each place, but also some special sets of animals to see and experiences to enjoy: elephants and flamingos in Amboseli, and the view of Mount Kilimanjaro and the vista from the Noomotio Observation point; the Rothchild Giraffes, monkeys, baboons, and Great White Pelicans around Lake Nakuru; the boat ride on Lake Naivasha to see hippos close by, and so many different birds, and to be able to walk around in an area with zebras, wildebeest, waterbuck, impala and others close by; and the Masai Mara had so many animals and birds, but it was especially exciting to see a leopard. I will be recommending Edwin Safaris to anyone who asks me about going on safari.
