Lavina Victor is always in control and unflappable!
Review
Thanks to Lavina and Women Adventure Africa, I was able to have an unforgettable adventure in Tanzania and Zanzibar. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
From our arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania, we were in the capable hands of Lavina Victor and her staff.
We were a large group, over 60 people, including a number of teenagers. It was my third trip to Africa, and to be honest, I was a little apprehensive about the size of the group we were traveling with. Coordinating a group that large is not an easy task. My other concern was that we would be taking the Safari in April, during the rainy season (from mid-March to May). I can honestly say I did not expect to see as many animals as we did!
The night before we left Arusha for the Safari, Lavina introduced us to our guides and they explained the itinerary. They assured us that we would be seeing many different animals. We left early in the morning in a caravan of 4 x 4’s to Ngorongoro. The drivers were in constant communication with each other for the drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro.
We were blown away by the incredible array of wildlife that we got to see in Ngorongoro. We saw vultures, lions, elephants, zebras, buffalos, giraffes, flamingos, antelopes, jackals, hippos, and a rhino. and many more. The communication between our drivers and guides made a big difference. They were able to alert each other when they spotted anything interesting. They alerted us to a pride of lions around a dead zebra just a few feet off of the road, that we never would have seen due to the high grass.
Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the wildlife. Together, working as a team the guides and drivers were able to find the best viewing locations. They shared fascinating facts, assisted with picture taking, and ensured we had an outstanding experience. They made sure we all felt safe and comfortable throughout the trip and we knew we could rely on them.
Our Safari, was just one portion of our trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar. Women Adventure Africa made the entire experience truly unforgettable. The hotel accommodations at each location were excellent!
Lavina not only coordinated the Safari, but also, among other things, a trip to a local Tanzania school, a trip to a Masai village, trips to various markets, a stay in Zanzibar, a trip to Changuu Island, and our ultimate return to New York. From the beginning to the end, she was in complete control and the service was exemplary.
Thanks to Lavina and her crew, we had the perfect balance of adventure, education, and fun. We left with a ton of unforgettable memories from our safari with Women Adventure in Africa.
I will likely return to Africa for another Safari with a smaller group, and probably to the Serengeti. The first person I will contact will be Lavina!

Exceeded my expectations!
Embarking on such a trip on my own was fraught with some anxiety. Levina was responsive, patient and kind from the very beginning answering my myriad of questions. Once I arrived, everything was handled with professionalism and I truly felt cared for and welcomed by her and her team. We covered a lot of ground on this tour. We witnessed the great migration (what a spectacle!) as well as all the usual animals you would expect to see and then some! Just wonderful! Obviously this is a very popular time for tourism and there were a lot of operators in the same place. Our drivers worked hard to get us in good positions to see but they were also very respectful of the animals and other vehicles. I can not say the same for some of the other operators that I witnessed who got too close or cut off both animals and other vehicles. All of the accommodations were excellent as was the food. We did a number of interesting side stops and learned a lot about Tanzania history and culture. I'm so very happy that I went and would recommend Women Adventure Africa to anyone considering a safari.

Well-organized, easy to communicate with, provides excellent customer service
Women Adventure Africa was my first choice for my safari. As a woman traveling alone, I love that it is owned and operated by a woman. Levina Victor and her staff are professional on every level. She is responsive and helpful throughout the entire experience. The guides are personable and knowledgeable, making sure to give you the experience of a lifetime! I saw all the animals I was hoping for and just as many I wasn’t expecting! I looked at many tours before I booked and Women Adventure Africa was an excellent value as well.

The safari & entire trip was thoughtful, responsive and fun in every way.
This was my first time on a group tour and first time in Africa and I honestly could not have asked for a better experience. It exceeded all my expectations. Everything was beautifully organized, with interesting excursions and excellent variety. The guides and drivers were very good and Levina, the proprietor of Women Adventure Africa, was with my small group every step of the way. The accommodations, from hotels, lodges, and tented camps were extraordinary and the food was delicious everywhere. It was amazing how well organized everything was - we were always on schedule, not late, no waiting. And, foremost, was the adventure of the actual safari in the Serengeti where we saw so much amazing wildlife. Additional visits to, among others, a Masai village, a spice farm and a foundation aiding and educating young woman were added bonuses that rounded out our experience. I highly recommend traveling with Women Adventure Africa for the experience of a life time.

Bucket list trip
We visited Tanzania and did 5 days worth of activities, words cannot express how epic the trip was. Levina and team were organized, every day was thoughtfully planned , we are planning another trip, this time to see the migration and will not go with any other team except Levina's.
