Memorable Tsavo East and West Safari
I went for Tsavo East and Tsavo West safaris with Wecam Safaris from Nairobi. Everything was very well organized from start to finish. The guide was very patient and knowledgeable, taught a lot about animals. It was easy to take photos with the roof off the car. Beds were comfy and clean. The food was fun, too. Coming to Africa for the first time was such a beautiful experience that will be remembered for a long time.

A very special safari
Tour itinerary: Mercy planned the tour expertly so that we were able to fit Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli and Diani Beach all into an 8 night trip. The pace was great for us, we saw and did everything that we wanted while not feeling rushed. We had extra down time in the nicest hotels when needed.
Guide: Don is the best! His knowledge on the animals, wildlife and culture was so informative and fun, we learnt so much he really did Kenya, the people and the animals proud! His ability as a guide was clearly excellent as we managed to see all of the big 5 by the second day of our trip. He made the point that who your guide is really shapes your trip and we couldn’t agree more, and truly Don was fantastic. He was flexible in timings and was very accommodating, making great suggestions. We highly recommend Don!
Hotels:
The hotels we stayed at on Safari were all great. We went in march which is low season, so some of the hotels were not busy which meant that the food and the service was excellent (à la carte instead of buffet food, very attentive waiters). The leopard beach resort in Diani was a little run down, but Mercy’s preferred hotel was booked out so this is no reflection on wecam. The sopa lodge in lake Naivasha is a MUST!! Zebras in the compound and we even came across some giraffes on the path on the way back to our room!
Communications: Mercy and Emily were very communicative throughout, quick responses to emails before the trip and WhatsApp messaging while there. When we had left our guide after safari Mercy still messaged to make sure we had checked in and everything was good so could not fault the comms. Additionally it was our birthday during the trip and Mercy planned a surprise and made it so special, showing she really cares about all her clients.
Value for money: We think that the tour was excellent value for money, we paid what we considered mid range and feel we got that in hotels. One thing to note which we hadn’t entirely anticipated was the tipping culture, we had cash ready to tip our guide but we would recommend having small bills to tip hotel staff, we only had larger which made this difficult.
We had a wonderful guide so for what we were able to see, the memories we were able to make and the experience we had was worth every penny.
Finally comments: we want to really thank the team at Wecam for such a wonderful safari, Mercy and Emily for the wonderful planning and Don for being an unforgettable guide. We have already recommended to our parents to use them for a safari trip and we would recommend for you to all do the same!

VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE
It was an incredible experience with WeCam. Our guide, Don, and our translator, Allan, were very kind and attentive to us throughout the entire trip. The organization was excellent, and the service from both Mercy and the guides was very quick and efficient from the moment they picked us up at the airport.
In our experience, the itinerary was very good, and they adapted it to our requests, taking us to Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli. We recommend checking if you prefer to go to Lake Nakuru instead of Naivasha, as seeing the hippos is not guaranteed since they don't leave the water during the day.
We highly recommend WeCam and hope to travel with them again in the future!
Thank you so much, Mercy, Allan, and Don!!! 👍🏼

Six Days of Safari Magic.
Our 6-day Discover Africa Safari with Wecam Safaris was absolutely fantastic! Everything was perfectly organised from booking with Mercy. Day 1-2 The sunrise game drive and sunset views in Masai Mara were incredible – saw the Big Five, got up close to lions, cheetahs, and migrating herds. The boat ride on Lake Naivasha was super fun, up close with hippos and birds. The elephant herds in Amboseli with the backdrop of Kilimanjaro were breathtaking – the diversity of swamps and plains on the full day game drive was amazing. (Guide Dennis was a knowledgeable, friendly and safe driver). Lodges comfortable, food delicious, and communication seamless. As first-time safari-goers, I feel lucky to have had such a great experience.

A Journey Through Kenya's Wonders.
Michael was an exceptional guide, sharing fascinating stories and ensuring we saw the best of Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Aberdares. The flamingos at Nakuru were mesmerizing, and the Ark Lodge experience was magical. The entire safari was seamless, and the Pop-up roof van was perfect for game drives.

Family Safari Adventure of a Lifetime.
Traveling with kids can be challenging, but Dennis made it a breeze. He was patient, knowledgeable, and ensured our kids stayed engaged throughout. The wildlife, particularly the migration in Maasai Mara, was a sight to behold. Each hotel provided excellent service and delicious meals.

Magical Kilimanjaro and Coastal Retreat..
Wecam Safaris truly showcased the best of Kenya. Dennis, our guide, made every part of the journey enjoyable. The Maasai Mara was unforgettable, with abundant wildlife and thrilling game drives. Lake Naivasha’s boat ride was a peaceful change of pace, and Amboseli’s elephants against the Kilimanjaro backdrop were a photographer’s dream. Ending the trip on Kenya’s stunning beaches was the cherry on top. The accommodations, transport, and food were all top-notch. A perfect safari for anyone looking to explore Kenya’s diverse beauty!

Very terrible service, we weren’t given Locks for our camp site and got robbed. The food was also terrible and didn’t cater to any dietary needs.
Reply from Wecam Safaris
Posted on Jan 23, 2025Dear Rukshinda,
I hope this message finds you well.
I would like to begin by sincerely apologizing for the unfortunate incident at the camp. It was an oversight on the hotel's part, and I must admit I was unaware that padlocks had not been provided. As soon as your project manager informed me, I immediately contacted my team on the ground to address the situation. I believe they took swift action to assist and resolve the issue.
We promptly reported the matter to the tourist police at the Sekenani Gate, and they even visited the camp to investigate further. Additionally, before your departure from the Mara, your vehicle was stopped again by the tourist police for further statements and verification.
Although the mistake originated with the hotel, we take full responsibility since we facilitated your booking there. I understand that no apology can fully undo the disappointment you experienced, but on behalf of everyone at Wecam Safaris, please accept our heartfelt apologies.
Regarding the food, the camp is a budget accommodation and, unfortunately, their options are limited. After the feedback from the first group, I relayed your concerns to the hotel, and they assured me that improvements were made.
Thank you for your understanding, and i appreciate your honest feedback.
Warm Regards,
Wecam Safaris
