A unique experience for animal lovers
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our driver and tour guide were at the airport on time for our pickup, and our tour started early the next morning. The two of us traveled in a spacious Land Rover, which can accommodate a maximum of four people. The lodges were all very comfortable, with electricity and running hot water. Meals were included and always delicious. During our hikes through the rainforest, which were quite challenging, we actually saw gorillas and chimpanzees in their natural habitat. This was a fantastic experience and, unfortunately, over far too quickly. The search for the animals was well-organized, and great care was taken to ensure that the rules were followed. The entire tour felt very private and was a truly unique experience. Many thanks again to our tour guide and driver.

Empirical tour go above&beyond!
We've had the most amazing experiance in Rwanda and it is in no small part thanks to picking Empirical Tour as our guides. They did their absolute best to meet all of our wants&needs by crafting a plan of out trip that had everything and more. What we asked for was nature, national parks, animals, local life and history and in the sapn of 2 weeks we somehow managed to cover it all. From trekking Bisoke volcano to getting to stand face to face with a silverback gorilla to lazing by the lake Kivu it is safe to say we left Rwanda with a ton of unforgettable memories and an eagerness to come back as soon as we get a chance!

Awesome
I have known Eraste for over 6 years, since around 2019, through the Instagram page of his tour company. In 2025, I used his services to do a solo gorilla trekking in Rwanda and I had an amazing time. He has one of the cheapest rates in Rwanda. I highly recommend him.

Lovely tour!
I had an incredible experience with Empirical Tour And Travel during my one-day gorilla trek in Rwanda. From start to finish, everything was seamless and professionally handled. They picked me up on time, drove me about 2.5 hours to the park, and took care of all the logistics so I could just focus on the experience itself.
A huge thank-you to Eraste, my guide for the day. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the gorillas and conservation efforts. He explained everything clearly, made sure I was comfortable throughout the day, and added so much context that made the trek even more meaningful.
Seeing the gorillas up close was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and having such a well-organized company and an excellent guide made all the difference. I highly recommend Empirical Tour And Travel—especially Eraste—if you’re planning a gorilla trek in Rwanda.

Good Communication & Experience
My sister & I booked a 1-day Bisoke Mountain hike with Empirical tours and Eraste. The communication prior to the tour was excellent and he picked us up from our hotel exactly on time. He drove us to the hike where we were escorted by park rangers. When finished with the hike, he took us to dinner in Musanze and then back to Kigali. It was a long day and Eraste was happy to tell us about his country and the villages and cities we drove through. We had a great time on the hike - the views were stunning. We felt safe the entire time.

Eraste was very professional and an excellent travelling companion.
I was met at Kigali airport in Rwanda by Eraste and taken to my hotel before going off to explore the city. We visited to the genocide memorial which was moving but is a could be a shock to many. Also saw in Kigali a craft place which did not really appeal to me but might to others. Also explored the city on foot which was to me more interesting when we were away from the smarter areas.
I then headed to Musanze , Volcanoes National Park where I had opted to trek to see the Golden Monkeys which were a great experience.
We then went and visited a cow farm in Bigogwe to learn how cows are of great importance in Rwandan culture.
I stayed at on the shore of Lake Kivu sadly too short a stay, before headed to the border to cross into the Congo. Be sure and have any medical information as requested.
We were unable to do the city tour of Bukavu as there was a political rally taking place and we considered it not a safe option.
The highlight of my time with Eraste was my time in Kahuzi Biega National Park to trek out to see the gorillas. No one else was with us but the guides and guards unlike in Rwanda where too many head out to see the Gorillas there due to the fame of Dian Fossey and "Gorillas in the Mist" film. My advise by all means take some photographs but also take time just to watch them!
The boat trip up the the lake to Goma was very relaxing and even provided fee internet.
Goma was fun to ride the famous wooden bikes. Also viewed the refugee camps out side the city.
Crossing the border was easy and having cleared you seam to be able to wonder backwards and forwards to take photographs.
The drums in Burundi where real treat.
Allin all a very memorable experience and Eraste goes out of his way to make sure you have a great trip.
